Hey, Bill O'Reilly.com, Premier Members, welcome to the no-spin News Thursday, April 23rd, 2020, Fight for Your Freedom and for Your Health. I'm going to let to tell you about today. predictable things about the pandemic, but also kind of depressing is that we are divided again. The country's divided again. So 9-11, I remember sitting here in my hometown on Long Island and watching the tragedy, and I use the word tragedy, not in a literary sense,

but it was tragic for the families and people died, not the killers. I mean, they're, they planned it out, They wanted to murder civilians and children, and it's just unbelievable evil. But I were watching it play out, and I knew that it would bring the whole country together this devastating attack that most Americans, sane people, would come together and say, you know, we've got to write this wrong, and we've got to give solace to the families and financial help. And all that happened.

It all happened. And then we became divided again after the Iraq war. which didn't work out the way the government thought it would. So, but for a period of there, of two or three years, a nation was pretty much together. I remember that very liberal people would come up to me on the street, very famous people, and compliment me on my reporting, because then, as now, we told you the truth about everything.

And I was shocked at somehow these far-led people. I'll give you one name. Share. Share. You know, called me and was complimentary of my reporting and my campaign to help children and all that. And, you know, it was a time when we were all suffering because of the families, but we had our country's best interests. Now, in this pandemic, which is worse than 9-11, as far as the suffering it's causing, because almost everything, American suffering in some way, almost 50,000 dead. 50,000. Those are Vietnam numbers. So we're not together. And it comes down again to liberal conservative based around President Trump. And the conservatives, the people who support Trump, they know that the media and the

Democratic Party don't want what's best for the country, generally speaking. They want what's going to hurt Trump the most. Not everybody, but a lot. And I'm going to prove it coming up, as I always do. That bothers me. This civil war, this division in the pandemic bothers me. Nothing much I can do about it other than to give you factual reporting and common sense analysis. I think I'm the most common sense person out there. You know, I asked President Trump to reopen professional sports by May 15th. I don't know whether he will. I'm hoping he does.

Just common sense. Just common sense. Raise the morale of the country. We need a morale deal right now. Germany may go back their Major League Soccer May 9th. It'd be interesting to see if they play before fans. I don't want professional leagues in America to play before fans for at least a month. Let the games happen, TV, radio, but no fans.

I should have known it, but I did not know it. All right. the state ordered nursing home residents to go back to the nursing home when they had COVID. All right?

So on March 26, the state of New York said, everyone will be required to accept patients infected with COVID-19 were discharged from the hospital and may still be infected. You got to take them back to the nursing home. Is that insane? Yes. You don't have people dead in a nursing home here? 3,500. Here's what Governor Andrew Cuomo said about that. Go. The state doesn't run a nursing home. Your question sound like the state runs the nursing home. The state does not run the nursing home. It is run by a private corporation. The Acme Corporation said, you should bring your mother to the Acme Corporation.

It's the best nursing home in the world. And they get paid for that service. The state regulates the nursing home. The state ordered COVID patients back to the nursing home with no quarantine. Governor, you're in charge of the state. I don't think you even know it. I don't know. I didn't know it.

Today, Governor Cuomo walked all that back. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You going to see that? On the ABC News tonight? No. Uh-uh. Not going to see it. Imagine Trump.

It does that. You imagine. President Trump issued an executive order to all you nursing home people, wherever you are, when you're discharged from the hospital with COVID, But you have to go be accepted right back to any nursing home. Can you imagine? The corruption of the press is the most severe problem we have in America today. All right, final thought on how everybody's handling togetherness in a moment.

All right, over in England, they say only 25% of parents say their kids are spending more time on phones, tablets, and video games. No.

Maybe over there, not here. These kids are like, I have to pry it out of the urchin's hands. no and 60% of parents say they're happier with their partner now that they're quarantined I hope so you know my my deal is this learn from this all right so use the time in a constructive way all right get your body back in shape exercise a bit take long walks fresh air read read read read all my killing books You'll like them and you'll learn. And there are tons of other good books out there.

All right? I just finished the new one by my, I wouldn't say, pal. I don't think he likes me, but one of the finest fiction writers in the world, James Lee Burke. He's got a new Dave Robichow novel. I don't think it's out yet. I get an advanced copy. And it was, you know, an excellent read. It really was.

Don Winslow, another good fiction writer's got a new book coming out. Very interesting book. He writes crime. It's graphic, but, you know, the guy knows the world.
