Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, welcome to the no spin news. I'm Bill O'Reilly, Monday, July 20th, 2020. Stand up for your country. I must say we have a really good program for you tonight, one of the best that I put together in quite some time. And that sounds egotistical. me just putting it together, but I am the executive producer. I set the lineup, and everything you hear comes right out of here. So let's lead with the pandemic versus Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Donald Trump is not running against Joe Biden. He's running against himself. However, the Democratic Party and the media, which is working with the Dems, have now injected a new storyline, a new narrative, as they say. That's Trump versus the pandemic. So Donald Trump is really running against the virus. And I'm going to prove that beyond any reasonable doubt. So you may have seen the Chris Wallace, Donald Trump interview, it aired yesterday. Sunday. It was taped on Friday in the patio outside of the Oval Office in Washington, D.C. It ran 40 minutes. All right. Wallace did a decent job with the interview. Not particularly incisive, but fair. Questions were relevant to your life. I would have done it differently, but obviously anybody would have done it differently. You don't
Starting point is 00:01:43 mimic. But we'll go through. The most important thing in Donald Trump's life, in your life, in my life, and for every single American, is the pandemic. And that was where, that was what Chris Wallace led off with, as he should have. So he's going to Donald Trump, hey, it looks like things are out of control with this COVID. And here's what the president said. Cases are up because we have the best testing in the world. the most testing. No country has ever done what we've done in terms of testing. We are the envy of the world they call and they say the most incredible job anybody's done is our job on testing
Starting point is 00:02:31 because we're going to very shortly be up to 50 million tests. You look at other countries, they don't even do tests. They do tests if somebody walks into the hospital. They're sick. But testing is not the reason for the spread of the pandemic this summer. It is not. It can identify where the problems are, but the reason is personal behavior in Donald Trump does not understand that, nor does Chris Wallace. You are listening to a free excerpt from Bill O'Reilly.com's No Spin News broadcast, where you can actually see me. We'll be right back after this message. Again, it's personal. behavior spreading the virus. That's what's going wrong in America. That people are going out
Starting point is 00:03:30 partying, not wearing a mask, not social distancing, getting loaded on drugs and alcohol, mingling with strangers, and then taking the exposure they get home. Personal behavior. Let me give an example. So on Friday night, July 17th, hundreds of people gathered in a section of Queens, New York, hundreds, to party. All right? So they were out there for hours with alcohol, with drugs, they're all over the place. This is an Astoria, Queens, a 28th Avenue, and Steinway Street, if you know the city. Now, the police, didn't do anything about it because the police don't do anything
Starting point is 00:04:23 about anything anymore in New York City what was once the best department on earth is now a shattered institution because of Andrew Cuomo the governor of the state Bill de Blasio the mayor and the police commissioner Dermyn Che that those three
Starting point is 00:04:43 have destroyed the department so the cops what are they going to do now they gave out some double parking tickets they had bullhorns you got to go home nobody went home and then the next night saturday they came out again now what do you think is going to happen in new york city with literally thousands of people doing that they're all going to go home they take public transportation they're all over the place what do you think's going to happen 10 days from now.
Starting point is 00:05:18 Boom. That happened in Florida. It happened in Texas. It happened in Arizona. It's happening in California. If you go into groups with strangers, you will carry the virus. There's a good chance you'll carry it.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Personal behavior. Trump can't do anything about it. Nobody can't. Cops aren't going to arrest you. Maybe you'll get a ticket, but probably not. That's what's happening. Okay. So the Democratic Party knows this,
Starting point is 00:06:02 but they know that the folks don't know it. I just told it to you, but how many other news commentators have? So they're going to say it's Trump's fault. It's all spread. It's Trump's fault. Trump's fault and the media is going to do that going to pick that up Trump's fault it's not Trump's fault but he doesn't understand Donald what's happening
Starting point is 00:06:28 and if he does he didn't say anything Chris Wallace about it he had perfect opportunity to do that all right good mail segment good final thought first this that I wrote on the National Anthem, you know, as I have reported, a woman in the L.A. Times, Jody Rosen, wants to replace a national anthem with Lean On Me by Bill Withers, and I did a whole thing on the radio
Starting point is 00:06:59 and last week on TV about it. But my suggestion, I did not report, and it's James Brown's living in America. If we have to replace the anthem, and I don't think we will, and I'll oppose it, I think the anthem is fine, even if some of you don't feel safe when they sing it.
Starting point is 00:07:19 But I like James Brown because Colin Kaepernick can't kneel, if that were the national anthem, if living in America, you have to be going like this, like everybody else, right? So that would solve that problem. So thanks for watching tonight, and we'll see you on. Tuesday.
