Welcome to the No Spin News from Monday, May 6th, 2019. Take your country back. There's a lot of manipulation going on, and I'm here to tell you what it is. Let's start with the Horowitz report. We all know if you follow the news, and I'm sure you do, because you're watching me, that the Inspector General of the Justice Department has investigated the FBI to see if they illegally spied on the Trump campaign. Michael Horowitz knew months ago, the answer to that question. but they're holding it. Now, I can't tell you when that's going to come out. I thought Attorney General Barr last week implied it would be out this week.

But now that we investigate that a little bit, I'm not sure it's going to be out this week. I do know that Horowitz knows what he's going to tell the world. But here's the real important thing about this story. The Justice Department is part of the swamp. Yes, they have new people, new head of the FBI, new Attorney General, Barr. But do they really want to destroy the premier investigative agency in the country of the FBI? Do you really want to do that? And the answer is no, they don't.

They may have to. Now Horowitz has got to issue an honest report, but they're trying to figure out how to do this. In meantime, the Democratic Party is trying to destroy Barr, the Attorney General, and Donald Trump, even more. so that when the bad news about the FBI spying on the Trump campaign, using a bogus warrant comes out, and that's what they're going to say. There's no doubt they'll say that, okay? That Trump and Barr are discredited,

so most of the American people go, oh, I'm not going to believe this, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. That's what's happening here, okay? It's frustrating for those of us who want to know the truth. I can handle the truth. If Jack Nicholson, if he posed that question to me, I would say, Jack, I can handle the truth. Tell me what happened.

I'm an American citizen. I want to know if my government is corrupt. I'll handle it. And I don't care if the corruption is on the Republican side or the Democrat side. I want to know. But the swamp protects itself. And that's why this holdup, which is very frustrating.

So number one, I always ask you just to start out, did I misstate anything, mislead anybody, in your opinion? All right, I want you to set me straight, Brad, if I did. No, you didn't mislead. I would clarify that on the contempt that they're contemplating right now against Barr, they've actually set up this sort of trap for him, and it's based on the document. So they subpoenaed the unredacted report, and that's where they want to try to find the contempt,

not necessarily on whether or not he appeared or not at that voluntary hearing. So they've subpoenaed the report and they want it unredacted. The problem is there's a very specific statute right on point that Barr and Mueller were using together to redact that document. So it's the first time I can ever remember Congress wanting that what we call Rule 6E material, material that cannot be divulged and is specifically forbidden by statute. Even the attorney general can't get an exception to it. That's grand jury testimony. But two things.

Number one, I don't think they'd be sighting contempt if Barr had gone in and talked to Nattler's committee. Would you see me that? You'd be absolutely right. Yep. Okay. I think you're right about that. I think you can take that to the bank. And number two, Barr did or has shown the unredacted report to selected people in Congress.

They've seen the under redacted report. He just won't give it to him. Gee, I wonder who else wouldn't give it to him? Eric Holder. That's right. And the reality is, that's right. Anything you give to Congress, if it's not in, you know, a skiff or where you review confidential information, it's a well-old adage that you're just giving it to the press.

Sure, I think it like that. From what I understand, in the unredacted version, there isn't anything different than in the redacted version about collusion or obstruction. Nothing. That's right. And it's like you have been saying, and many people are saying on this, the conclusion, whether Mueller testifies or not, is he going to go in and say, oh, you know what, our conclusion was actually different than what bar. That's not going to happen. It's all an attempt to smear for political reasons. Now, but here's the most important question. Do you agree with me that Michael Horowitz, the inspector general, and you know him, right? I do.

Yeah. Yes. knew months ago what happened with the Faisal Warren and the bogus dossier. Would you agree that he knew months ago? I do. I agree that the reason they launched that investigation was because they could see that that conclusion was there and they better get an investigation on it and a report. Okay.

So he knew, but they don't want to put the report out because it's going to be very bad, news for the FBI and for the Obama team. Loretta Lynch and they don't want to blow the Justice Department and the FBI up. That's my read on this thing. Well, and where you're really hitting on a sensitive part for the Department of Justice is this.

They always held themselves out as different than Congress. They weren't having to follow such political pressures and they didn't play games with people's lives because their power was so successful. What this has revealed and what Horowitz is looking into is absolute abuse of power at the highest levels of that branch of the government that we never thought would do that. So they're going to be fiercely protecting how that comes out and what it says. I'm going to take another quick break and then I'm going to have some mail and a final thought on the media. That was our lowest rated day, but nothing like it is now. CNN's ratings have totally collapsed. and AT&T is the new owner of CNN. I don't know how much longer that operation can go the way it is. It's not an honest operation. You all know that. And the folks have said, you know what? They're not going to watch it.

Now, MSNBC is different from CNN. CNN purports to be a mainstream news organization. MSNBC doesn't, they don't even pretend. They're in army at the Democratic Party, and they promote far-left causes. But at least they're honest about it, I guess. Now, NBC News has got a problem because they're associated with MSNBC, and their ratings are awful as well. Fox News is falling.
