You're listening to the no-spin news, Talking Points Edition.
More than 100,000 people showed up, which is an extraordinary.
showing of support for Charlie Kirk and his family.
I'm taking this from the Glendale Police estimate.
Some people say there were 200,000.
It was packed.
Cables took it, but networks did not.
Networks had football and other things, and I understood that.
Cables were there.
They ran it, CNN, MS, FNC, News Nation,
And generally speaking, I was popping back and forth.
They covered it straight.
It wasn't a bunch of, afterward there was a problem,
and I'll tell you about that in a moment,
but as the coverage unfolded, it was fine.
Very emotional.
And the star of the show, if you want to use that context,
but the most memorable person in the memorial service was Erica Kirk,
Charlie's widow.
And she did an extraordinary thing, and I'm sure you heard it, but I want to put it into the proper perspective.
Let's roll that tape.
Charlie's life was a turning point for this country. It was a miracle.
Let that miracle, it was Charlie's life be your turning point as well.
Choose prayer.
Choose courage.
choose beauty choose adventure choose family choose a life of faith most importantly choose Christ
okay now some objected to that you know the atheists a secularist but why would you
be a Charlie Kirk's movement turning point was essentially a conservative Christian movement
So you remember that there was a period of time about 10, 15 years ago when conservative Christians had their own, and they'd still, to this day, have their own network, and they, you know, but that, Kirk was political, but he was also theological.
So that was perfectly in context to talk about the man's legacy. You would have to do that.
So I know some people went, oh, you know, hey, conservative Christians are entitled to tell you and everybody else what their belief system is, and this was certainly in context.
Then Erica Kirk stunned the world, I would think. Roll it.
My husband, Charlie, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life.
That young man, that young man, on the cross, our Savior said,
Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do.
That man, that man, that young man,
Forgive him.
Now, that was an unbelievably powerful moment, particularly when you put it into the context of
that Erica has at home, a three-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son.
And the daughter's going, where's daddy?
Can you imagine?
I can't.
I can't.
Yet she, and I think very sincerely.
said that she forgives the assassin.
And I'm not at the level of Erica Kirk.
I have a hard time with this.
And I'm going to play a soundbite from the president in a moment who he and I are on the same wavelength here.
I have a very hard time forgiving evil unless there's repentance.
So in my book, Confronting Evil, none of the 15 miscreation.
ever showed any sign of remorse for their horrible, horrible deeds.
I don't know about this guy in Utah.
You know, we don't have access to him.
But after he shot and killed Charlie Kirk, there was no thread go,
what did I do or anything like that.
I have a hard time.
I've talked about this to Catholic theologians at a very high level.
I said, look, I'm supposed to forgive Hitler.
I'm supposed to forgive Mao. I'm supposed to forgive Stalin, the slavers, the robber barons, the assassins, Lee Arbriadlong, and they don't repent. There's no, I'm sorry. If you're a Christian and somebody asks you for forgiveness that I'm sorry, you have to forgive them. We have to resign because that's the theology. But if they don't, and they continue,
their evil ways, and the only reason that this assassin can't do more damage is because he's incarcerated.
What do you do? So, but again, I am not as benevolent a person as Erica Kirk.
So then the president picked up on that, and now his speech was written for him, as almost every president does.
But he had lived this part, roll the tape.
In that private moment on his dying day,
we find everything we need to know about who Charlie Kirk truly was.
He was a missionary with a noble spirit and a great, great purpose.
He did not hate his opponents.
He wanted the best for them.
That's where I disagreed with Charlie.
I hate my opponent.
And I don't want the best for them.
I am sorry, I am sorry, Erica, but now Erica can talk to me and the whole group, and maybe they can convince me that that's not right, but I can't stand my opponent.
Well, he's an honest guy anyway, you know, and again, I got a list, you know, I got a list.
And, boy, and I know that Donald Trump.
You know, people try to destroy him and his family.
Very, very hard.
But that goes back to Mrs. Kirk.
The president then picked up on the legacy.
What does this all mean for the country, rolling?
Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets.
And meanwhile, China is dumping.

We owe Charlie a profound and eternal debt of gratitude now, just like Charlie and Erica made
turning point hot.
We are looking at a country that has the chance to attain a level like never before.
Tariffs are making us rich again, richer than anybody ever thought was possible.
And the only one challenge in them are people that hate our country or.
foreign countries that are paying a price because they did the same thing to us for years they took
advantage of us well it's negatively political and again some people objected but i'm saying okay
i understand the objection but it's perfectly in context to what charlie kirk did and he lost his
life because he spoke out on policy.
So Mr. Kirk was killed because of his political point of view.
And so when you have a president there knows the world is listening,
he's going to reinforce that point of view because he knows that everybody in the arena
is on his side and Charlie Kirk's side.
Would I have done it probably a little differently?
but it was not out of context, as some people are saying, in my opinion.
So, again, the legacy will be the conservative Christian movement, will become more powerful,
particularly because Erica Kirk is now in charge and an extraordinary woman, that's for sure.
You're listening to a special edition of the No Spin News.
A very interesting speech by President Trump at the UN this morning.
So he's on his way in with Melania and the escalator stops working.
Then he gets to the forum and the teleprompter breaks down.
And you can just see Trump.
It just reinforces his opinion that the entire United Nations thing is amateur hour.
Trump has no use for this crew at all.
And that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo.
All right.
So he goes to the UN and he's got a speech that lasts 55 minutes, pretty long.
And he wanted to make a few points.
The biggest point is that the United Nations is useless because it's run by one world leftists.
That was the overarching point for all the nations.
Look, we in the United States, I'm paraphrasing President Trump, we know who you are.
And you're not in a business to help calm wars down or do anything other than promote leftist ideology.
That was what Mr. Trump wanted to get across.
Okay?
Is appropriate, you make up your mind on it.
But that's what he wanted to do.
Now, he began by talking about U.S. politics.
Now, he knows, you know, I know, nobody in that room gives a wit about U.S. politics.
But Donald Trump cannot help himself.
He can't roll a tape.
And here are the United States four years of weakness, lawlessness, and radicalism
under the last administration delivered our nation into a,
repeated set of disasters. One year ago, our country was in deep trouble, but today, just eight
months into my administration, we are the hottest country anywhere in the world, and there is
no other country even close. Okay. Did that impress anybody at the United Nations? No. Is it true? Maybe.
certainly we are the most powerful economic engine in the world. There's no doubt about that.
And if all of Donald Trump's policies are successful, we are going to be much stronger than we were
before he came into office a second time. I think those two things are true. I know they're true.
Now, Donald Trump is frustrated because he doesn't get credit overseas or in the United States.
States for solving conflicts. He says he stopped seven wars. That's true to some extent. I mean,
each situation is different, but he put the arm on 14 different countries and said, you better
knock it off or we'll punish you. The United States will punish you. That's a pretty big
incentive to knock it off. And then he sweetens it up. You know, if you stop the fighting,
we'll do this, we'll do that. That's how Trump deals. Okay. But Trump,
is angry because nobody publicizes that and the united nations didn't help him go but later i
realized that the united nations wasn't there for us they weren't there i thought of it really
after the fact not during not during these negotiations which were not easy that being the case
what is the purpose of the united nations the u.n is such tremendous potential i've always said
it has such tremendous, tremendous potential, but it's not even coming close to living up to that
potential. Now, that is a scolding of the UN. The individual countries sitting there, they don't
care. UN officials probably care, but what are they going to do? Now, in Ukraine, which is obviously
the biggest issue right now overseas, Trump was, he didn't spend a lot of time on it.
He only mentioned Putin's name once, because he's still hopeful that he can somehow maneuver bad Vlad into stopping the mass killing for no reason.
Why is he doing this?
All right?
So he dealt with Ukraine by scolding our allies, American allies.
Go.
China and India are the primary funders of the ongoing war by continuing.
to purchase Russian oil, but inexcusably, even NATO countries have not cut off much
Russian energy and Russian energy products, which, as you know, I found out about two weeks ago
and I wasn't happy. Think of it. They're funding the war against themselves. Who the hell
ever heard of that one? In the event that Russia is not ready to make a deal, to end the war,
then the United States is fully prepared to impose a very strong round of powerful tariffs,
which would stop the bloodshed, I believe, very quickly.
But for those tariffs to be effective, European nations, all of you are gathered here right now,
would have to join us in adopting the exact same measures.
Okay.
And now is it for Ukraine.
Now, the countries that buy Russian oil at this point are Turkey.
Hungary, Slovakia, France. Boy, that's bad. Belgium and Spain. That's a scandal. I would have mentioned
those countries if I were Donald Trump. Hey, Mike Baker here, host of the President's Daily Brief

Because they are enabling Putin to continue his murderous spree.
Then Trump switched to one of his favorite types.
topics, migration. And he says that all over the world, not just the United States, that the illegal
immigration situation is badly damaging established countries. Roll a tape on that.
According to the Council of Europe in 2024, almost 50% of inmates in German prisons were
foreign nationals or migrants. In Austria, the number was 53% of the people in prisons were
from places that weren't from where they are now. In Greece, the number was 54%. And in Switzerland,
beautiful Switzerland, 72% of the people in prisons are from outside of Switzerland.
Okay, those stats seem to be accurate. And migration is
on President Trump's mind, so it's global warming,
which he considers a major scam.
Now, global warming has been embraced by Western Europe
and the United Nations.
Billions, probably trillions, has been spent
on alternative energies.
Trump sees a big con roll of tape.
Trump was right about everything,
and I don't say that in a braggadocious way,
but it's true.
I've been right about everything.
And I'm telling you that if you don't get away from the green energy scam, your country is going to fail.
And if you don't stop people that you've never seen before that you have nothing in common with, your country is going to fail.
All right. So those are the strongest points to review didn't really attack Putin or China.
And right after the speech on social media,
President Trump released the schedule to meet with she.
So that's going to take place around Halloween
at the Economic Conference in Seoul, South Korea.
They'll meet face to face.
And Trump did not want to antagonize.
That's the right word, Putin or she in this speech.
He could have lambasted both of them.
But he didn't.
He did for a reason that he, and I concur on China.
I think the Chinese are going to make a deal with us.
It's going to be very helpful for the world.
I think.
Putin is, as I said, and if you read my book Confronting Evil, my God,
the guy is just a psychopath now.
And the kicker on it is that in order to stop Putin,
Trump's got to convince China
to pull away from him that is the key they might be able to do it all right as far as gaza and
the middle east touched upon it a little bit 157 countries say they want to recognize a
Palestinian state but there is no Palestinian state to recognize so this is I'm sitting
there going okay it's all right with me you want to recognize a Palestinian state
state, but go ahead, try to find them. Hamas runs Gaza as Willa runs the West Bank.
We're going to negotiate with terrorists, and that's what Trump says. If you prop up a Palestinian
state, this is a reward to Hamas. That's why the USA won't do it. I might handle it a little bit
differently if I were president, but I have no objection because it's true. The terrorists control
the Arab presence around Israel.
There's nobody else.
So you can recognize anybody you want,
but see if they return your phone call
because there's no phones
and there's no building.
You're listening to a special edition
of the No Spin News.
All right, so Mr. Kimmel returned,
as expected, unrepentant.
But he wasn't arrogant.
you know, it was fairly humble.
I didn't apologize for suggesting
that conservative Americans
who support Donald Trump
somehow were responsible
for the assassination of Charlie Kirk,
which is what got Kimmel in trouble
in the first place that absurd notion,
which is irresponsible in the extreme.
Okay, that's what got him in trouble.
But before that, Mr. Kimball had carved out
an anti-Trump posture
that was almost a comedy act all in itself.
It wasn't funny, but it was so absurd
every single night.
Colbert and Kimmel, all right, we got it.
You don't like the guy.
So anyway, I'm going to run down a few clips.
We'll analyze them, and we'll get some reaction,
and then I will give my personal advice
to both President Trump and Jimmy Kimmel,
which I'm sure they're all going to write down
and do exactly what I suggest.
All right, so Kimmel opens it up last night with this.
Go.
I want to thank everyone who checked him.
I would say all weeks to lift out of him.
But some that I do especially want to mention
are my fellow late-night talk show hosts,
my friend Stephen Colbert,
who found himself in this predicament.
My friend is John Stewart, Seth Myers, Jimmy Fallon,
John Oliver.
Conan O'Brien, James Corden, Arsenio, Kathy, Wanda, Chelsea,
even Jay reached out.
I heard from late-night hosts in other countries
from Ireland and from Germany.
The guy in Germany offered me a job.
Can you imagine this country has become so authoritarian?
The Germans are like, come here.
All right, you know, it's okay.
Not an object.
And my personal view is I don't want
Jimmy Kimmel banished or, you know, I don't believe in that canceled stuff.
They try to do it in me.
They only made me stronger, which I, it's pretty ironic.
But it's exactly what happened.
Now, as for the controversy himself, Kimmel should have said, look, I'm sorry I said that
about the MAGA people.
That's what he should have said.
But, you know, he's playing to a crew.
Always remember that these people play to a certain audience, not the whole audience,
It's not the whole country.
It played with a certain sliver.
So here's what Kimball said about the controversy go.
I've been hearing a lot about what I need to say and do tonight.
And the truth is, I don't think what I have to say is going to make much of a difference.
If you like me, you like me, if you don't, you don't.
I have no illusions about changing anyone's mind.
But I do want to make something clear because it's important to me as a human.
And that is, you understand that it was never my intention to make light of the murder of a young man.
But I understand that to some that felt either ill-timed or unclear or maybe both.
And for those who think I did point a finger, I get why you're upset.
If the situation was reversed, there was a good chance I'd have felt the same way.
All right, rational.
I mean, that's not what the crux of the matter is.
It was inappropriate to inject politics falsely a few days after Charlie Kirk was assassinated.
Just inappropriate.
And the reason that it happened was because Mr. Kimmel is a fanatic, all right?
And that's not good.

All right, the third one and the last one
is about the overall issue of expression.
Go.
This show is not important.
What is important is that we get to live in a country
that allows us to have a show like this.
I mean, I've had the opportunity to meet and spend time with comedians and talk show hosts from countries like Russia,
countries in the Middle East, who tell me they would get thrown in prison for making fun of those in power,
and worse than being thrown in prison.
They know how lucky we are here.
Our freedom to speak is what they admire most about this country.
And that's something I'm embarrassed to say I took for granted until they pulled my friend.
friend Stephen off the air and try to coerce the affiliates who run our show in the cities
that you live in to take my show off the air. That's not legal. That's not American. That is
un-American. And it is so dangerous. No government official try to coerce the companies that take him
will show off the air. And I know that because I work for Next Star. You know that. On News Nation,
I appear. I'll be on with Cuomo tonight. That's not what that company did. The company, Next Star,
reacted to its local viewership, which was outraged about what Jim said.
They got thousands of complaints.
That's why the controversy erupted.
This wasn't any conspiracy to silence Colbert and Kimmel.
Now, to be fair and honest, President Trump doesn't like those people
and would be happy if they disappeared.
That is the truth.
And my advice to President Trump is,
don't bother with this.
You've got three big things to do.
I mean, major historical things that President Trump is facing.
The Putin-Uk situation, that is off-the-chart dangerous.
The Chinese situation, which is the only solution to Putin,
and the rising prices of groceries in America.
Those are the three.
Jimmy Kimball doesn't mean anything.
to this country. Now, I well understand how poorly, unfairly Donald Trump has been treated for the
past 10 years. I mean, because I was treated unfairly, but not nearly the way he was treated. And I
understand his animus toward Kimmel and Colbert. I got it. But boy, Mr. President, you have so
much, and it's so difficult that, you know, they kind of dip down into the Kimmel land.
Not worth it. And for Jimmy Kimmel, I think you're pretty funny. I've been on your show five times.
Stop being a zealot. I know you go to cocktail parties. You all hang out in Hollywood and you're all the same mindset.
But stop being a zealot. That's not what ABC hired you to do, even though they allow you to do it.
You're not looking out for the folks or the public interest when you banish, when you ban.
all non-liberal voices on your show,
which is what you've done for three years.
Talk about freedom of expression violations.
All five of the liberal networks
have banned every single non-liberal voice.
That's Putin's stuff, and I've said it way too much.
I've said it on a radio program again today,
and I know I'm getting to be boring in saying it over and over,
but that is the story.
And Jimmy, personally, don't be a zealot.
Okay, that's not playing to your strength.
You simply don't know as much as it would take to do the analysis you're trying to do.
You don't know because you don't try to find out.
You live in a bubble.
And it's true for Colbert.
They never come up against me.
In fact, Kimmel is going to be in Brooklyn, I think it's next week,
and I had my representative say, look, O'Reilly would be happy to come on
and talk about, you know what ratings would be for that, for him, if he did that?
Or what are the odds of him doing that?
And I'll, you know, if he does, then I'll give him props.
Anyway, the story I hope is over.
I hope everybody watching me around the world understands the real story here.
and let's go forward.
Thank you for listening.
