Starting point is 00:00:00 of the year. Oh, we found Bill O'Reilly. Well, here he is, number one television star for a million years, number one bestselling nonfiction author in the world, get his latest book, Killing the SS. It's a phenomenal book, huge bestseller. And, of course, go to Bill O'Reilly.com. You can see the TV show tonight and get the columns, Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill O'Reilly, how you doing? Good. I'm in Florida. That's why guys couldn't get through to me. I guess they don't have cell service from New York or Florida. I don't know. And what are you doing in Florida? Are you avoiding the taxes here? Is that what it is?
Starting point is 00:00:32 You know, I'm looking around. I told you a couple of weeks ago, if they get any higher in New York, I might have to look. And I hate to do that. But nice down here in the winter, that's for sure. Yeah. Hey, this Gerald Nadler, with this Soviet system, we'll just subpoena everybody, his family, anybody that ever knew him, anybody who worked for him. I mean, this is real Soviet-style stuff.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Isn't this going to backfire on Democrats? Well, the strategy the Democrats have now is they don't expect a knockout punch from Mueller. So whatever leaks are going on in D.C., the word is not going to be a knockout punch to Trump. And so in order to keep the scandals, quote-unquote, going, there's three House committees that are going to try to disrupt the president's agenda. So that's what Nadler is doing. He's taking the lead. So Trump has a couple of things he can do.
Starting point is 00:01:31 He can do executive privilege. He can slap down, you know, any request and say, no, we're not going to do it. Then it goes into courts. That takes time. That's what I would do. But I'd give a press conference beforehand after the Mueller thing comes out and say, look, whatever Mueller says he's going to have to address it, Trump is. And then at the end, say, we. know it's not going to stop because that's their strategy to disrupt the nation to disrupt your
Starting point is 00:01:59 life because they want to get me out of the presidency got to make it personal yeah trump's got to make it personal and if he does that i believe based upon the polling that americans will say you know we may not love trump but the other side is worse just as they did with the hillary clinton thing yeah what if trump just said i'm going to use your system on you i've I've asked the Justice Department to investigate your children, Jerry Nadler, and everybody that ever worked for you. What if you just used his own statistic? You know, look, at this point as administration, I think Trump has enough accomplishment to just run on we're effective for the country rather than get involved with this petty garbage. I mean, he likes to do that halfway through the book on Trump, the United States of Trump, which will be on in September.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I'm halfway through it. And you can see a pattern of behavior in his life that he almost enjoys the personal vendettas. I mean, he and Ed Koch, you'll remember, brutal enemies, and he liked it. Trump enjoyed that. I think Koch probably did, too. But now it's starting to hurt the country. So I think he has to kind of rise above some of this stuff and say to the people, look, I'm here and I'm trying to do best I can for you and your families, and we are succeeding in doing that.
Starting point is 00:03:26 But these people just want to disrupt the whole country. Is that what you want? And then, you know, I think that is a winning argument. Yeah, I've noticed that being around Trump, and you've been around him as much as anybody. But explain that. He doesn't like total peace and calm and quiet. He likes when he's under fire. His business management style was chaotic.
Starting point is 00:03:49 I mean, I found out so much stuff that I had no. idea. You're going to love this book, Simone. You are going to love it. It's so unbelievable what happened to him and how he rose up and then he got slapped down with all his bankruptcies and how he came back. And the cast of characters around him is just amazing. And nobody knows that we just ferreted it out. And there's no anonymous sources in my book. Everything's on the record. So anyway, he does his management style is he likes chaos. He likes
Starting point is 00:04:24 the worst thing in Donald Trump's life is for him to be bored. He can't be bored. He can't. He goes crazy. So he's got to have what they call action. Action. All the time. And some of that action is creating controversies
Starting point is 00:04:41 and replying to people that he wants to smash. But at this point, being president, some of that action, starts to hurt the people. And he's got to be very, very careful about that. You know, 100 books have been written about Donald Trump, but nobody ever came close to ever understanding all this stuff about him.
Starting point is 00:05:00 You're going to be the first book to actually get this out there. I think so. But in a way it's going to... It's a history book. You see, that's the difference between my book and every other Trump book. It's not pro. It's not anti-Trump. It's a history book.
Starting point is 00:05:17 And I have to verify... everything that I put in there. And it's so hard to write and research because 90% of the stuff that's been written about Donald Trump is not true. It's either made up or out of context. And, I mean, I've got, and I point that out, too. So it's actually fun to write, but doing 2,000 words a day, my head's going to blow off. Hey, it was 1,000 words last week a day.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Now you're up to it. I know. I've opted because you want to write when you're going to write. you're on a roll. Yeah. It's almost like writing a song, okay? So you want to get the words on a paper when you're rolling. Because sometimes you don't feel like doing it,
Starting point is 00:05:58 you're not, you know, psyched up, and then I jump in the pool or whatever. But when I'm rolling, I want to get the stuff down. And we've been able to do that so far. You should get Bill O'Reilly's book, killing the SS, huge bestseller. Also, he writes great columns. You go to Bill O'Reilly.com.
Starting point is 00:06:12 You can always get his column. Hey, this last one about these progressives of the climate change and all of that. Does that really work in the middle, of America? No. The climate change thing is now to the point of absurdity and folks trying to make a living. I was in a cafe this morning, get a little breakfast down here in South Florida. You know, the help is covered with tattoos and I get piercings and, you know, believe me when I tell you, the climate change is not on their mind. It's trying to make a, trying to make a buck. All right? I mean,
Starting point is 00:06:45 it's not. And this is the mass electorate. you know, Governor Inslee of Washington and Hicken Looper, Colorado, they can go out and they can do all this stuff. It's not going to get any traction. Tonight on Bill O'Reilly.com an interesting story. Congresswoman Cortez is being run
Starting point is 00:07:05 and I use that word not in a pejorative, but being financed, being advised, being everything by a multimillionaire. With a big long name, I can't even recall it now. but my staff is is investigating him now who he is but he is the one behind the media play on Ocasio-Cortez behind her public pronouncements or profile she's got a little godfather behind her and nobody knows that well I was wondering who was paying for those thousands of Uber rides every week that she'd been taken yeah she's got this guy has tons of money and now
Starting point is 00:07:47 there in a little controversy about campaign finance stuff because apparently he diverted, or it's alleged, he diverted about $750,000 out of her fund, which is an enormous amount of money for a congressional seat in Bronx and Congress to some other races, which is illegal and innocent so proven guilty. But this guy is a pretty interesting guy, and we're going to lay it out tonight on Bill O'Reilly. Okay, so if you watch the TV show tonight, we can see a lot of this. Yes, you'll see it all.
