U.S. Hey, this is Mike Slater, Philner for Bill O'Reilly. On this Tuesday morning, I am thinking about freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is always, and will always be under attack. The question

is, will it be defended? And so far, in this generation, no, it has not. One reason why freedom of speech hasn't been defended is many conservatives, can't articulate the line that they're willing to defend freedom of speech up to many conservatives have been tricked into calling things hate speech and all that should be illegal now no hate speech is allowed and that's wrong so here's the line all speech is allowed all of it up to anything that incites imminent lawless action how imminent there was a protest back in 1973 at indiana university and police cleared the streets and a protester yelled we are going to take these streets later and he was arrested for his speech. But the Supreme Court said, no, later is not imminent enough.

It's too vague, even, has to be even more specific and more imminent than that. That is how far we must protect freedom of speech. Conservatives must be freedom of speech extremists. No matter how despicable and depraved, how awful and terrible what they're saying is we must protect their right to say it unless it incites imminent lawless action. That's our line. Benjamin Franklin said, in those wretched countries where a man cannot call his tongue his own, he can scarce call anything else his own either. Be a free speech extremist. The attacks will come for you next.
