On this Thursday, I am thinking about continuing accusations that the USA is a racist country.
I am a simple man, a logical man.
And I say, how can that be true? In 2008 and 2012, Barack Obama received 136 million votes for president,
easily defeating famous white guys, John McCain and Mitt Romney. So if systemic racism rules in this country,
how could that possibly happen? The truth is, there are racists in every,
country, in every profession. And when they emerge in law enforcement, in government, in high-profile
situations, everybody reacts. But that doesn't mean the whole system is racist. In America,
if you are biased against people because of their skin color, you are shunned. You will be fired
from your job, and you will not be able to get another job. You will be iced in social situations.
Being a racist in the USA is like having a communicable disease. No one wants to be around you.
You can't even make a living. The stigma is so intense. Does that sound like systemic racism to you?
So let's knock this off, shall we? America is.
a noble nation. Now this.
