On this Friday, I am rooting for the American men's basketball team to win the gold tomorrow. I did not root for the U.S. women's soccer team, which did win the bronze. My problem is Megan Rappano, the star of the soccer crew, and the coach of the basketball team, Greg Popovich. Both individuals have defamed their own country

by calling America racist across the board. They're entitled to their opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. They are wrong. Just because there is some racism in our society doesn't mean the entire country is evil. And by the way, racism is evil. If Rappano and Popovich really believe the USA is so bad, why are they representing it in the Olympics? Self-interest. That's why?

Now, the men's team is not disrespecting the USA. I have not seen that. But Popovich is. So I'm going to put him aside, and because the players are my fellow citizens, I'm going to root for them.
