Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, but first. On this Friday, if you are listening to me right now, you must like this radio station and trust it to some degree. And that's good, because in general, Americans no longer trust the media. According to Gallup and Pew, two research centers, just 16% of the U.S. public now trusts newspapers, 16%. 11% trust TV news. And that's probably for sports and weather. Only 14% believe the media tells the truth. And 50% say fake news stories are a major problem for America.

That's higher than violent crime, climate change, racism, and illegal immigration. Now, the media has worked very hard to gain distrust. The hate Trump movement, even if you yourself hate Trump, was so fraudulent and so strident Americans recoiled. Remember, the Russian collusion hoax. Then the media embraces progressives. They love the far left, and most Americans do not. Finally, many media people, and I hope I'm not one of these, condescend to regular Americans.

They don't like us. They think we're barbarians. And so, the media is done. Now this.
