Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition. On this Thursday, some guys never learned, and it seems I may be one of them. Seeking to protect my sanity, I've cut down on my cable news watching because I rarely learn anything and the presentations are largely dull, unless I'm on, of course. But there I am the other night watching James Carville, on MSNBC.

Why? Because the Islander game hadn't started yet. The octogenarian is still a lively presence with a lack of self-awareness that is absolutely startling. The topic is

Trump's cabinet picks. James doesn't like them. Shocker. NBC News doesn't like them. The guy who drives James through the studio probably does like them but he doesn't count.

Only liberal ideology counts on the NBC News airwaves. Now, if I had been interviewing Mr. James, I would have asked about President Biden's department heads. Does Carville believe Homeland Security Chief Alejandro Mayorkas has done a good job? He told the nation the border is secure. Does Carville believe the border is secure? How about Transportation Secretary, the mighty Pete Buttigieg? Has he done anything to stem the airline chaos?
