2015, in Aspen, Colorado, where Bloomberg gave his speech saying that he was proud of the stop-and-frisk policy instituted while he was mayor of New York City because it drove down crime. Now, that's a controversial thing, but it's true that the stop-and-frisk policy in the poor minority neighborhoods did drop murders drastically in New York. But in the speech, he went beyond that. He described how police would go into these neighborhoods, flood his own, arrest minorities for pot, and throw them against the wall, that's his quote, throw them against the wall, and pat them down to try to find guns.
