On this Monday, it is Valentine's Day and I am the wrong guy to be commenting on this day of romance. That is because Irish guys, generally speaking, I know there are exceptions, maybe peer Brasnan, Irish guys are not really romantic. It might have something to do with our ancestors tilling the soil or spending too much time in pubs. I don't know. But I know a lot of Irish guys and I don't know any of them who are romantic. Italian guys all day long. Spanish guys, very, very romantic. Not Irish guys. Now, St. Valentine's.

was a martyr, and he was, by all historical accounts, a good guy, and he spread a lot of love around. Not in the physical way. He was a cleric, but St. Valentine, you know, was honored, and this day is a day of love, like the love boat, or something like that. So I always try to bring some humor to Valentine's Day. funny card. Flowers are great. Candy not so much. Many ladies don't like the sugar and they don't want to be softig if you know what I mean. But I think the main message on Valentine's Day is just to be nice. Can we just be nice on Valentine's Day? Not just to the opposite sex, but to everybody. It's kind of like Christmas. Now this. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets.
