and it's interesting on a number of fronts. Number one, Ambassador Bolton could hurt Donald Trump
because he is a conservative, he knows the world, and he seems to be willing to say bad things
about the president. But the bigger story is betrayal. So when Ambassador Bolton was hired as the
National Security Advisor by President Trump, I knew it wasn't going to work out well.
The reason is that Mr. Bolton is a very, very committed hawk. He wants to use the military
to attack places like North Korea and Iran.
Trump does not want that. He'll go out of his way, as we've seen, not to provoke a war,
whereas Ambassador Bolton firmly believes that our military power is the way to our success in the
world. So I knew that partnership was not going to last, and it did not. I also knew that
when President Trump dismissed Bolton in a way that looked bad for the ambassador, that he was
kind of embarrassed, I knew Bolton would come back at Donald Trump. And so he has by writing a book
that's going to cast the president in a dubious light. That's a betrayal. Whether you agree with
Bolton or not, if a guy hires you, even if it doesn't work out, you shouldn't be saying bad things
about him. I don't think that's right. Now this. Are you ready to lead an active, balanced life? With a Michael
