Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, but first. On this Tuesday, I am thinking about the police. Do you ever hear the term qualified immunity? It's a legal term that prevents criminals and others from suing cops acting in the line of duty. Only in the state of Colorado denies its law enforcement, this protection. but the progressive left is trying to do away with qualified immunity because the progressive left hates the police. But if arrestees can bring suit against officers, the justice system

will collapse because of the expense to defend yourself in civil court. Criminals will get free representation from anti-police lawyers, but the cops would have to pay all the court costs and defend themselves. So fewer qualified individuals would even want to. want to be police officers, and many on the job now would get out. Civil lawsuit expenses routinely run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The progressive movement sees policing is racist, and it's trying to destroy the traditional system.
