If you make both political parties disappear, maybe a grand thing, and really think about what precisely is dividing the American people. You might come up with this. Millions of traditional thinking folks firmly believe the United States of America is a noble country, a place where opportunities exist to pursue happiness unlike anywhere else, a nation that has gained freedom for billions of people on the planet at great sacrifice. Think World War II and the Cold War. On the other side of the political equation are millions of Americans, including most of the media, who see America as a largely corrupt place run by wealthy white men who impose racism, income inequality, and corruption. every night on cable TV news, and it is nasty. Will things ever get back to our motto out of many one? Not likely in the short term. There is simply too much bitter. driven by a partisan media.
