Starting point is 00:00:00 Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, but first. On this 4th of July, a new poll says 39% of the American population is extremely proud to be a U.S. citizen. And that is the lowest number extremely proud in the history of the poll. Now, in 2004, 70% of Americans, according to St. Paul, were extremely proud to be Americans. So what's happened in 19 years? Well, first of all, 2004 was the blowback in the jihad world for 9-11. So the United States took the lead. We brought down Saddam Hussein. We terrorized. al-Qaeda, we went into Afghanistan and routed the Taliban. There was all kinds of aggressive
Starting point is 00:01:05 action to protect the homeland. And Americans, generally speaking, rallied to that. Now, because Iraq did not go well, that number started to decline, the 70% number. Today, what we're looking at on the 4th of July is a federal government in disarray, led by the second worst president in U.S. history, Joe Biden, James Buchanan being the first I have gone over that. When you have terrible inflation, when you have uncertainty, and a president who is obviously incompetent, you're going to have people not feeling patriotic. Now this.
