Now, afterward, Donald Trump was kind enough to treat me to dinner at his golf club in New Jersey. And the conversation I had with him was not off the record. There are some things I'm not going to report on, but I will tell you that he was more relaxed than I had seen him in, I don't know, five, six years.

So we were talking about baseball. He's a big baseball fan and talking about people we know, not too much politics at dinner. But then I said something pretty interesting to the president. I said to him, you know, I know that you want to run a president. again for the office of the presidency. I know that. Now, he didn't deny it. But I said, if you do run, you've got to change a little bit. You can't be as bombastic as you were the first time around. Now, the drain the swamp and you are a revolutionary guy coming in to do and change things in Washington, that worked the first time around. But now you've got to bring it down

because people get exhausted over all the conflict. You have a pretty good record. I believe that. I believe that Donald Trump, while in office, just on policy, did well. Run on that. Be a statesman. And you know what he said to me? That's a good idea.
