Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up from the NRA.R.I.A. Dot net studios in New York. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update morning edition. On this Thursday, I am thinking about fear. We all know people, and maybe you are one of them, who are afraid of a lot of things. My father, a big macho man, a naval officer, had a lot of fear. And that came about because he was a depression kid. He lived in the 1930s when deprivation was everywhere, and he was afraid that bad things were going to happen. Now, today, the main fear, of course, is COVID. Even though the Vax has pretty much diminished the threat, how many people do you know are still petrified of COVID? And then there are

folks who are afraid of the vaccine. They don't want to get it. How about sharks? There are very, very few shark attacks. I think the stat is you have a better chance of being killed by lightning than a shark. Crime. Now, that's a real feel, particularly if you live in a major city. Crime paralyzes people. How about money? Again, my father, very, very fearful that he would be fired, run out of money, it would be disaster. The fear of failure, that's a really big one. But if you fear failure, you're never going to try. I think failing, honestly, is a positive, a good thing, makes you stronger. FDR said, the only thing to fear is fear itself.
