Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition,
but first. On this Monday, the newspaper on Long Island Newsday headlines its January 6th hearing
editorial this way. Hearing shows democracy peril. As Joe Biden might say, what a bunch of
malarkey. Newsday is a liberal paper. It despises Donald Trump. It is deeply invested in his ruin.
However, let's examine the paper's contention in a fact-based way.
First, the election results were carried out in every state, certified on time by Congress
and Vice President Mike Pence.
Don't see any peril there.
System as designed by the founders worked.
President Trump vigorously criticized the results, as you know.
That received a lot of attention, including the interest of Supreme Court Justice Alito.
Mr. Trump was and is clearly within his constitutional rule.
rights in expressing an opinion on the vote. However, to get an opinion into legal realm,
evidence has to be submitted. Justice Alito said, I'll look at the evidence, but what the
former president produced was not enough to take action. Again, that sounds like the system
worked. Where's the peril? Donald Trump can still challenge the 2020 vote if new or more precise
evidence of fraud services. So his rights are protected as well. Ironically, news
and Donald Trump are kindred spirits. They both want and believe certain things, but they both
lack the constitutional demands to get those things. There is no peril, and right now massive
voter fraud has not been proved. Back after this. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
national debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets, and meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar
