been talking to some of their friends who for some reason find me interesting, or at least they pretend to. Like most Americans, the graduates have been shaken by COVID and the hateful culture on display in this country. No summer of love this year, quite the opposite. The kids who seek my counsel are sincere because I'm not exactly Ozzie Nelson, a warm and fuzzy guy. If they have the guts to approach me, I will engage. Mostly I tell the graduates to think about what they are good at and formulate a plan off that. We all have talents. No one is shut out. That's why I believe in God. It is the plan. That is most important. Set goals. Motivate yourself to accomplish. But always remember, plans can change with circumstances. So be open to that.
