Hey, I'm Mike Slater from the podcast, Politics by Faith, fill in it for the great Bill O'Reilly.
Stand by for the O'Reilly Update, Morning Edition.
But first, a word.
Mike Slater, filling in for Bill O'Reilly.
On this Tuesday morning, I am thinking about the Oscars.
No one else is thinking about the Oscars because almost no one watched the Oscars.
Did you know, less than 10 years ago, 44 million people watched the Oscars?
This year, 16 million.
So why do so few people watch them?
Because it's obvious, these people hate you.
Rain Wilson, of all people, he was Dwight in the office.
He tweeted yesterday, he said, I do think there's an anti-Christian bias in Hollywood.
As soon as the David character in The Last of Us started reading from the Bible,
I knew he was going to be a horrific villain.
Could there be a Bible preacher on a show who is actually loving and kind?
No, because they hate you.
You made them rich, and they hate you.
and over time enough people are going to catch on
enough people are going to agree with Hugh Grant
who did a red carpet interview at the Oscars
and it was one of the most difficult
to watch red carpet interviews ever
the poor lady said what's your favorite thing about the Oscars
um
nothing really
well are you excited about anybody winning
no not not really
okay well what are you wearing
My suit?
Okay, was it fun to be in the glass onion?
I was in it for like three seconds.
Okay, thanks, Hugh.
That's it, though.
That's about how most Americans feel.
I guess 16 million people care, but hopefully soon that'll just get down to zero.
More coming up.
