On this Tuesday morning, I have some good news and some bad news to tell you about during the pandemic. The bad news, and it is pretty appalling, is that the Congress cannot get

an aid package passed because of political infighting. You have the Democratic party wanting to attach all kinds of non-virus things to the trillion-dollar-plus spending bill, global warming stuff, student loan stuff, marching toward socialism stuff. And Republicans say no, it's just about the virus. On the GOP side, they want to give the Trump administration all the power to decide who gets what. And that puts. too much power in the president's hands. There should be discretion there. Now the good news. I live on Long Island, about 2,000 cases in Nassau County of the virus. Most people are obeying the requests to stay inside, but you got to go shopping. You got to get food. So I'm in the grocery

store yesterday, and this high school girl is checking me out. And she's putting herself at risk to make sure her neighbors have food. And she couldn't have been nicer. And I'm saying to myself, you know what? This girl's not making a lot of money. The store should double her salary for doing this job. And I told the store that. So I applaud all the people who are helping all of us out.
