Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, but first. On this Wednesday, how come there's nothing to watch on television? I get 400 channels. I have my remote weighs about eight pounds, and my thumb is huge from clicking. But I can't find anything to watch. So last night, I had a little leisure time. That's rare for me.

But I sampled nearly every single station I have on the Dopey cable system. And you know what I wound up watching? The Islander Hockey Game. Is it me? Why do I not want to see lethal weapon for the fifth time? Or Rocky, or Rambo, or Batman. They are on every night. I only watch one network show, only one.

Blue Bloods on CBS. But that's it. I don't even watch 60 Minutes anymore. I don't know what happened to 60 Minutes. I used to be the biggest fan. Now I might tune in and see what they have, but I'm not engaged. And it is a wasteland on cable. I can't watch cable news anymore.

Once in a while I'll click in, but it's so predictable. There's a panel of 80 people. I don't know any of them. I don't like any of them. Why am I watching? I don't. So it was the Islanders last night. I tried but failed to find something interesting on TV. Now this. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
