On this Wednesday, the leftist president of Mexico, Obrador, has come up with a pretty good idea. He wants the USA to give 700,000 Mexican workers legal papers to earn money here on a temporary basis. Mr. Obrador says this will stop illegal immigration, but it won't unless there is border security attached to the program. Now, if I'm President Biden, I take this very seriously. If Mexico would put its army on the southern border with Guatemala and on the northern border with the USA, in return for America giving green cards to hundreds of thousands of Mexican workers

on a yearly basis, they'd have to go back after a year, that would stop a lot of drug smuggling and people smuggling. So it is worth pursuing this. There's another caveat. The workers wouldn't just be given opportunities to enter the USA. Companies would have to request the workers so they would go to a specific place. You just don't release them to find jobs.
