It was very unusual that President Obama told his rabid supporters on a phone call

that General Michael Flynn should be punished for perjury. Very unusual. Mr. Obama is generally a cautious man who does not often misspeak, but here he looks shaky. First of all, the general was not charged with perjury, but with one count of lying to a federal Asian about a conversation he had with a Russian ambassador. Subsequently, Michael Flynn withdrew his guilty plea. We now know that Flynn was set up by the FBI, and last week, federal prosecutors dropped the whole case. I detail that awful situation in a column posted on Bill O'Reilly, But suffice it to say, Barack Obama is way out of line here. Some anti-Obama folks are speculating

that the former president is part of a cabal that wanted to damage President Trump by humiliating his national security advisor Flynn. There is no proof of that yet, but Flynn's lawyer believes it to be true and said so on national television. The Justice Department is in investigating this entire debacle, and the fair thing to do is wait for the evidence that the Justice Department will have to release to the public soon. However, Barack Obama's inaccurate assessment of the Flynn situation bears watching closely. Now this.
