On this Thursday, I am planning the Memorial Day weekend, as many of you are. Because I'm not a party guy, I don't have to worry about social gatherings. But if I were invited to one, I would send regrets. Not a good time to me. mingle with folks you don't know very well. However, I will have dinner with friends,

keeping a few feet apart, will not wear the dopy mask while eating or conversing in a private home. But I will wear the mask in a store, but not while driving. Will not wear the mask on the beach or walking the pooch or hiking. Will maintain distance. If I get the contagion, I get it. I have a fatalistic attitude towards danger. Don't court it, but don't fear death. Never have. But I do fear hurting someone else. The worst thing about this virus is that people can have it and not know it. That's why masks are essential. Infections go both ways. I have a few books to read over the weekend, a lot of commentary to write, and I'm thinking ahead to a much better situation for all Americans.
