On this Wednesday, I am thinking about wealth in America. The United States is the wealthiest country in the history of the world. Total worth in the USA topped $141 trillion in 2021. And that's expected to pass $150 trillion by the end of the decade. So how does all of that money break?

down within our population? Well, it turns out if you were born in the United States, you have a very good chance at making it rich. Here's that data. The median income currently stands at 67,000 bucks in this country. The nation is also home to the most millionaires on earth. 19 million people have more than one million bucks in the bank. That's roughly 6% of our entire population. The country also has 620 billionaires. Meanwhile, half of the population owns stock, or holds private investments. Even the poorest of our citizens, their living standard here is better than anywhere else in the world.

97% of Americans living in poverty have a cell phone. 99% have refrigerators. 98% have cable television. 80% have air conditioning. 92% have internet access and 70% have at least one car. Now listen to this. According to data from the UN and says, Census Bureau, the poorest 20% of Americans are wealthier than the average citizen in most

European nations. They have more assets, better access to health care, and have twice the living space compared to people living in France, Germany, and Italy.
