Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, but first. Hey, this is Mike Slater in San Diego, Philaner for the great Bill O'Reilly. On this O'Reilly update morning edition, I am thinking about garbage time. So the murderer at the Texas Elementary School, he killed two teachers.

One of the teacher's daughters wrote an incredibly touching and sweet note to her mom about what a hero she is. and this daughter, maybe 16, 18 years old or so, shared her favorite memories when mom would wake up the whole family by talking to the dogs in the morning in her high-pitched voice. When mom would call her at 4.30 every day when she got off work, mom would sit on the couch and said the couch was only mine and the dogs. When they'd watch funny videos together and laugh until dad got tired of it and told him to knock

it off. She said when we'd sing karaoke together, when we'd fight over the stupidest things. and then laugh together after about it. And the daughter said, I want everything back. And the daughter said she wants everyone to know her mom's name. So I'll say it. Eva Morelis, fourth grade teacher, Rob Elementary School. And I love how this daughter's favorite memories are not the quality time.

It's what Jerry Seinfeld called the garbage time. He said, I'm a believer in the ordinary and the mundane. You know, people talk about quality time. I always find that a little sad when they say we have quality time. I don't want quality time. I want the garbage time. That's what I like. You just see them in their room

reading a comic book and you get to kind of watch that for a minute or have a bowl of Cheerios at 11 o'clock at night when they're not even supposed to be up. The garbage time, that's what I love. I pray that this weekend, with the people you love the most, you come across some really good garbage time.
