Starting point is 00:00:00 Bill O'Reilly here and I'm warming up. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition. But first. On this Friday, a lot of people, and you know some of them, live in an echo chamber. That is, they will only listen to people who tell them what they want to hear. The word for this, word of the day, is obsequious. If you tell someone at work or anywhere else what you think they want to hear, you are being obsequious. And that's not a good thing. You don't want to be a butt kisser.
Starting point is 00:00:45 But the people who demand that, who have to have everybody agreeing with them or they get angry or they won't listen to you, they are a big problem in this country. Because we need, We need robust debate. We need to seek information from all quarters. I mean, I like talking to people that disagree with me. I want to hear what their argument is. And you know that I'll shred that argument if it's not logical or fact-based. And those people talking to me know that too. So some of them don't want that. They want to live in the echo chamber. They don't want to have to explain themselves, especially when some of their beliefs are insane. But living in an echo chamber, and this is important for children to know,
