Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up.
Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, but first.
On this Friday, CBS News has always had a liberal bent,
which they kept under control under Walter Kronkite.
Years later, when I worked there, Dan Rather was the power.
He and his Texas pal, Bob Schiefer, are both ardent leftists,
but they did practice some discretion in the hard news.
arena. Now the culture at CBS across the board is totally left. As I said yesterday in the space,
that doesn't matter as much anymore because the news audience is down. The influence factor is
lower. Nevertheless, interesting things do happen. This week, CBS morning anchor Tony Docapill,
a proud liberal, confronted Republican Senator Tom Cotton with the left-wing belief that Donald Trump
and his supporters directly caused the Pelosi attack in San Francisco.
Observed, but that crew believes it.
Now, Senator Cotton shut him down quickly by pointing out that Senator Chuck Schumer publicly
publicly said that Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, quote,
wouldn't know what hit him if Kavanaugh ruled against Schumer's beliefs.
Of course, a man is now in custody after being found with a gun outside Kavanaugh's Virginia home.
So the question is, will Tony D learn anything from the smackdown he got?
Not likely.
Back after this.
Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines.
