Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up.
Stand by for the O'Reilly Update morning edition.
On this Friday, I'm thinking about Donald Trump's diesel deal with Russia.
The president is reducing the tariffs on Putin's fuel to lower costs, not only here in the
USA, but all around the world.
Now, Moscow can circumvent the economic sanctions and sell oil.
Now, I don't know why Donald Trump has done this.
I'm trying to find out.
So far, I've come up with nothing.
If you look at the president's past, this is typically a prelude to a larger agreement he
wants to make. Unfortunately, few of these deals have come to fruition in the last two years.
So maybe it's a backdoor play. Again, I don't know. It's causing a lot of problems in Europe
that I do know. And the American left, as well as some conservatives in the USA, don't like it
either. People do not understand why we're not punishing Putin to the full extent.
According to NATO, his invasion of Ukraine has caused a deaths of a half million people.
The actual toll is probably higher.
So why give Russia some economic relief?
The answer again is, I don't know.
Perhaps Mr. Trump thinks it will lower world energy prices.
Long shot.
Back in a moment.
