Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up.
Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition, but first.
On this Monday, it looks like the people who market turkeys for Thanksgiving are price gouging.
The cost of the average bird is up about 70% over last year.
Why?
There are plenty of foul running around the USA, so I sense foul.
play here. Price gouging in the age of runaway inflation. I can't prove it, but again, the
turkey population is booming. The sad truth is that some businesses are exploiting the inflation
situation. They know the folks can't keep score on many of the things they need. For Halloween,
for example, some candy makers are charging more even while shrinking the packages of
candy. Soon it will be two musketeers. So American consumers are under siege from all sides.
A befuddled president, callous companies taking advantage of inflation, and an apathetic press
which rarely covers bread and butter issues. Like turkeys, there is plenty of sugar available
in the USA. So why the candy gouge?
Because they can.
No one is watching them.
The federal government doesn't watch anything other than people paying taxes.
You don't do that.
You're going to get it.
Otherwise, it's a free fire zone.
Back after this.
