On this Wednesday, every single Democratic senator voted against Judge Amy Coney-Barratt on Monday to serve. on the Supreme Court. By contrast, the very liberal Ruth Bader Ginsburg got 97 votes in the Senate

during her confirmation in 1993. Judge Barrett is obviously qualified to serve on the Supreme Court, even if she is a traditional American. But the Senate Democrats were frightened to confirm her. Why? One name, Charles Schumer, the senator who runs the minority in that body, and he's from New York. So why is Charles Schumer so fearsome? How could he cow all the Democratic senators to vote against an obviously qualified candidate, Judge Barrett? Well, Senator Schumer basically says to his compatriots, you vote against the party and we will not finance your campaigns. So senators and congresspeople are dependent upon the parties to give them money to run for re-election. If you buck the system, you don't get
