Bill O'Reilly here, and I'm warming up. Stand by for the O'Reilly Update Morning Edition. On this Monday, I think it's safe to say that we have political chaos in America. It's not good, but we have it. And I went back and re-read my new bestseller confronting the president to see if there was ever a time in America when the political system, and was this chaotic. And I think there were two times. The Civil War, the run up to it, and the Great Depression, because both of those things were costing lives. People were being

killed in a Civil War, more than a million, and the Great Depression, the suicide rate, people jumping off buildings, taking their own lives because they lost everything, was harrowing. And you couldn't get a straight answer because war, or precluded a free press in the South anyway. And the Great Depression, it was just a mess. People couldn't afford to read a newspaper or buy a radio at that point. But now in 2024, we have two political parties

who are so opposite each other that only the Civil War had had a worse situation. The Democratic Party is progressive, and it is the most radical left presidential party in history. The Republican Party is reacting to that, and it is nasty. Everybody asks me who's going to win. I have no blank an idea. Things are going to happen.
