and really think about what precisely is dividing the American people. You might come up with this. Millions of traditional thinking folks firmly believe the United States of America is a noble country, a place where opportunities exist to pursue happiness unlike anywhere else, a nation that has gained freedom for billions of people on the planet at great sacrifice. Think World War II and the Cold War. On the other side of the political equation are millions of Americans, including most most of the media, who see America as a largely corrupt place run by wealthy white men who impose

racism, income inequality, and corruption. The divide between traditionalists and progressives is seen every night on cable TV news, and it is nasty. Will things ever get back to our motto out of many one? Not likely in the short term. is simply too much bitterness driven by a partisan media. And many Americans simply don't take the time to really understand what's happening here. They go with the flow, as the cliche says. Whatever their friends think, they think. But there is a big battle between traditional Americans and progressives. It'll be fascinating to see who wins in the long run.
