Hey, Bill O'Reilly here.
Welcome to the No Spin News, Wednesday, August 20th, 2025.
Stand up for your country.
So I'm going hand-to-hand with Hurricane Aaron out here on eastern Long Island.
Surf is way up.
You remember a Beach Boy song, Catch.
you wave and you're living on top of the world, sitting on top of the world? Yeah, okay, it's true,
but you better know what you're doing out there in that ocean, which is only about 120 yards
away from me right now out of my studio here. Better know what you're doing, are you going to be
in Portugal? That is big surf, and it's very interesting to watch nature and all that. I like
all that. Anyway, that's what we are dealing with on this Wednesday. And the talking points memo
is about Putin's madness. Now, I made a lot of headlines all over the world. By saying flat out,
I believe that Vladimir Putin is mentally ill. And that's the reason that Trump got fooled
and campaigned. I'll solve the Ukraine war on day one. You remember all that. Because in the
first four years of Trump's presidency, Putin was at least somewhat rational. It's gone.
And my book Confronting Evil comes out September 9th. You'll see almost every single one
of these heinous mass murderers in the book. They didn't start out absolutely insane, but that's how
they ended up. And I believe that Vladimir Putin is in that category. So after going to Alaska,
where he was greeted as an equal by President Trump.
Putin has not relented one bit.
Okay?
So it's Wednesday on Monday.
He killed a bunch of people in Kharkiv, including a family with toddlers,
16-year-old boy, 23 injured there, another southeastern attack, another 23 wounded.
The Ukrainian Air Force says 25 local.
locations were hit by Russian drones and military.
Ukrainian's Air Force also says that 270 drones, 10 missiles, were launched into Ukraine by Putin.
So he's obviously not stopping.
He's not pausing.
He didn't pause even when he was in Alaska.
What kind of is that?
What is that?
Okay.
If you really want to get a peace deal, if you really want to get a compromise on issues and Trump is willing to compromise,
All right, you don't keep bombing and killing women and children, but Putin likes it.
He enjoys that, okay?
He enjoys bringing terror into the hearts of what he perceives as an enemy.
And Ukraine is not an enemy of Russia.
Ukraine can't do anything to Russia.
NATO would never invade Russia.
And it rankles me, and I will call them out, any Americans who say, hey, Putin's got a legitimate beef here.
Anybody does that?
you're going to come up against me, just like John Bolton did, because he hates Trump so much.
His analysis is dishonest.
Bolton pulling back a little bit.
I don't know whether he noticed him.
He's still around, but he's not as hateful as he used to be, so I think we accomplished something there.
Overall, civilian deaths, civilian deaths, okay?
And this is from the United Nations High Commissioner in Ukraine, closing in on 36,000.
Innocent people, injuries, I think this is a lot.
low number myself, 14,000. Total almost 50,000 hurt by Putin. For what? For what? Ukraine's no danger
to you. All right? Even if you get Ukrainian territory, it doesn't do you any good. None.
Ridiculous. President Trump has canceled his vacation to bed minister where he has a club in
New Jersey to try to work this out. There is a rumor that Zelensky and Putin might meet. That's a total
waste of time. Putin doesn't respect Zoolensky. He's going to go out like a peacock and, okay,
you want another spectacle? Fine, it's not going to lead anywhere. The only thing that's going
to stop Putin is if Putin thinks that his own life is in danger. And the only way that could
happen is if Trump slaps onerous economic sanctions on Russia and the people there begin to
starve and they'll kill Putin if that happens. His own people will kill him. His generals will
kill him. We can't kill him because he has nukes and he'll use those nukes.
Putin's mad enough to use them. So just keep that in mind. We're not dealing with a person
here. You've got any compunction about wiping out 100,000 people in Kiev. He'd send a nuke to
Keith. Absolutely convinced he would. Again, I will back up everything I say in the book coming
out September 9th, confronting evil. And we do expect here that President Trump will put major
sanctions on Russia soon. That's the memo. Inside the United States, we could not find
one Democrat praising Donald Trump's attempt to bring peace in Ukraine. Not one in an elective
office. So I'm doing a YouTube commentary, which has exploded worldwide now. We're very
proud of it to YouTube.com slash Bill O'Reilly. It'll be posted tomorrow.
Right now on the YouTube ban, we have the disintegration of the Democratic Party in America.
But tomorrow will be a very specific commentary about sedition,
about how the opposing party in the United States, Democrats, some of them are being seditious.
And I'll explain what sedition is and all that.
But I'm going to give you a preview.
Here's what Senator Ted Cruz said, Bill.
They don't want peace.
And that is sad.
We should all want peace.
in Ukraine. I believe we're going to see that. And I think President Trump is doing everything
humanly possible to achieve that peace, and not a single Democrat is cheering him on. They're all
rooting for America to fail. That's really sad.
I mean, what Cruz says is true. Absolutely true. And we'll back it up. We'll prove it.
We've been researched it and everything else. Again, that's on YouTube. We will post that
tomorrow. The Democratic Party now is split
Again, and it's having trouble raising money.
There's no leader, you know on and on and on what's going on.
There is the radical element that gets all the media attention,
and then there are the Democrats that aren't crazy,
like Governor Shapiro, Governor Moore, Bashir.
They're not crazy people.
You may not disagree.
You may not agree with them, but they're not going out to try to harm their own country.
So what happens, though, when an elected official
on Capitol Hill, a senator or a congressperson, goes over the line and tries and does something or says something
is so outrageous that Americans are going, this isn't legitimate criticism.
Now, I'm going to run you soundbites from Congresswoman Crockett, Texas, and Congresswoman, Congressman Dan Goldman of New York.
those are two radical left loons.
I'm going to run you the sound bites.
Then I'm going to give you an AOC quote.
So let's go to the tape first.
Roll it.
Listen, Donald Trump is a piece of shit.
Okay, we know that.
Yes, yes.
He is.
He is.
He is.
But in a functioning democracy,
he still would not be able to get away with this.
It is just unquestionable at this point
that that man cannot
see public office again. He is not only unfit, he is destructive to our democracy, and he has to be
eliminated. Hey, Richard, great to speak to you.
Yeah. That moment right there, that's what it feels like to step into a bureau booth. Our soundproof office pods bring deep focus to

A goleman apologized for using the word eliminated, but he did use it. And it's a threat.
All right, here's a Cortez, quote, President's disastrous decision of bomb Iran without
authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and congressional war powers.
He was impulsively risked launching a war.
Manzaneros for generations absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment, unquote.
She said this while U.S. planes were in the air coming back from bombing Iran on its nuclear facility.
This woman said it.
So immediately I got in contact with the House of Representatives Ethics Committee,
it's chaired by Congressman Michael Guest of Mississippi.
They blew us off at first and just said,
And we're not able to accommodate your request, some stupid, ridiculously disrespectful thing.
So I basically told the Congress, I mean, Gas, you better wise up, okay?
And then they assigned somebody a big shot in his crew to talk to me off the record,
and I had a civil conversation with that person.
I was told that this is all confidential in the House Ethics Committee, so we can't tell you
anything. That's essentially what they told me. And I said, that's really not acceptable. So,
because we do due diligence here on the No Spin News, we got in touch with a former member of the
House Ethics Committee from Mississippi. I wanted to keep it very close to home. So joining us now
from Flood, Miss, is Greg Harper. He served four years in the House, and he was on the House
ethics committee. So I was surprised when, and you know guests pretty well,
your statement, I was surprised when it was so rude, number one. And then they said,
look, we can't tell you anything because everything is confidential. Is that true?
That's very true. And Bill, you know, I had the privilege of serving in the house for 10 years,
and four of that was on the ethics committee. And I've never seen Michael Guess do anything,
his job and do it well. And so I would tell you that it is a unique committee and one that
it's, you know, it's the only committee in the House that has the same number of Republicans
as it does Democrats. You know, any other committee, it's going to be a situation where the
majority party has the most. They can control that committee completely. Here you have five
Democrats, five Republicans. They're appointed by the, you know, the speaker and the minority
leader. The majority party gets to name who the chairman is, and then the ranking member.
But to get anything passed, there has to be an agreement. It has to be a bipartisan approach.
And I will just tell you, nobody wants to serve on the Ethics Committee, okay? First of all,
nobody wants to be on it. Why? I remember my very first year when John Vayner asked me to serve,
well, I don't know if he asked me. Maybe he told me I was going to be on the Ethics Committee. I had
friends that asked me. So was Bainer mad at you about something? It's one of those
thankless assignments. But why is it thankless? The audience doesn't know. Why is it a bad job?
Why is it thankless? Why? Because it's a lot of pressure in it. You can't discuss anything
about your committee's activity until there's a release of the information that's there. Yes.
I don't understand this. All right. So you're in business, the House of Representatives,
This is represent the people.
You represent the people.
So you got Crockett, okay, saying the President of the United States a piece of Fs.
You got Goldman saying he should be eliminated.
You got AOC saying he should be impeached while U.S. planes are in the air.
If these aren't ethical violations, nothing is.
Then you should go out of business.
Yeah, look, I understand what you're saying.
Some of these things are handled internally by the, you know, if you do something,
something on the House floor, then it could be handled by the whole body.
And there are a lot of things because here's the flip side of that.
If you have everything wide open, you know the minute something's filed,
that can be come about because of somebody in your own party or another party.
And I understand that.
I understand that.
But so does the American people understand it.
Due process extends to the House Ethics Committee.
It does.
But if you're going to say, we're not going to tell O'Reilly,
or any other journalist, what we're doing, not even if Crockett's going to be called in to be
questioned by the ethics. We're not even going to tell you that. That's not what the Constitution
was put in place to do. And you know I'm a historian. Absolutely. Jefferson, Madison, Franklin,
none of them said, you know, we want to have one congressional committee that's so secret,
nobody knows what's going on. They didn't do that. You got to.
You guys did it. You guys slapped the secret on it. And I don't think it serves the people well.
No, and I would respectfully, very respectfully disagree that this committee is made up of
some of the best members that you're going to have in the House. It's a heavy burden to do this.
Nobody really wants to serve in it. But you cannot, you cannot go around talking about what the
business of the committee is. And other, you know, when it's when it's done, when they're finished
with their business, then you'll see a report come out. For instance, we don't even know.
But in the meantime, okay, I got it. I got it. And due process is very important to me and my
viewer and listenership. But we don't even know whether you're going to call Crockett in to be
questions or AOC or Goldman or even a Republican. I mean, you know, the guy.
that yelled at Obama during the state of the union, he got sanctioned by the whole house,
and he should have. You can't have that kind of disrespect. You're a liar. That was insane.
But we don't even know if you're going to call the three that I ran in. You really think that's good?
I really don't know any other way to do it. If we're going to say that you are innocent and will
proven guilty, then you have to be able to say that we're not going to discuss it, discuss
America.
Okay, but why don't you just do this?
Investigation going on.
I'm going to give you a solution.
I'm going to, because I'm a solution guy.
All you need to do is tell the press and you issue a one, the chairman guest, issues
of one paragraph, said, we were a bit disturbed.
The Ethics Committee wants to find out what exactly happened when Congresswoman Crockett
call the president an S word.
And then we'll let you know what we found out.
Isn't that reasonable?
Well, it is. And there are times in the process where you may learn some things that are going on. But to have an initial allegation, it's probably not something you could go ahead and say, this is, hey, we've got this. We're looking at this. I think you've got to protect the, you know, soon enough, Bill, these things will come out through the course of an investigation and you get a report. And that way you don't wind up with somebody being trash. Because it's going to get.
used against them in a political campaign, the minute there's a story.
But that's not my main concern is politics. You're a good man. I want everybody to know that.
You stepped up to come on and nobody else wanted to come up against me on this. But I disagree
with you. I don't think you need to do conclusions or accusations. And I'm talking now about the
House Ethics Committee. You shouldn't do that. You are absolutely 100% correct. But you can tell
the people, we are looking at this because it's out of control. You have sitting members of the
House calling the president of C names and asking for an elimination. Even O'Gorman apologize,
you know who he is. Absolutely. The people need to know they are being scrutinized to some
extent. We appreciate you coming on, Congressman. We really do. Thank you so much, Bill. It's a
pleasure. No, you're a stand-up guy. Okay, media madness. This is an amazing story. So Colbert,
I'm over Colbert, and you're over, Colbert. You never watched them in the first place.
I can guarantee you never watched them. I'd say 90% of my audience didn't waste their time on Stephen
Colbert. And that includes me. Okay. So the right-wing group, Newsbusters, issued a report.
And in the report, it said that Colbert, since 2022,
hosted 176 left-leaning guests and one non-left-leaning.
And this is in the realm of politics.
That was Liz Cheney, who hates Trump.
NewsBusters was accurate.
We checked.
But now, one of Colbert's,
assistance denies this. Roll it.
Yeah, it's bull .
Do you think that Colbert didn't invite J.D.
Vance and every single crazy right-winger on?
They don't come on with him because he's too good and embarrassing them.
It makes no sense for someone.
Okay, it's true that probably somebody in a Colbert organization at one time or another,
they wouldn't invite Trump because that's ridiculous, but maybe Vance.
And Vance blew them off.
But he's misleading, and this is what they do on the left.
I try to get on Colbert for a little mask three or four books.
He never put me on because he can't stand up to me.
I'd make him look like this.
Now, Letterman was very liberal.
And Letterman invited me on all the time.
I think it was 14 times.

that's why letterman succeeded and colbert failed but this guy to get on there and say oh no he's just
not telling you the truth see what what upsets me most about the media and this extends into
the right wing and the conservative media as well.
They don't have any compunctions about misleading you.
They don't.
They say all it is garbage where they could never back it up.
Okay?
And it's like, okay, I'm just going to say it.
Boy, oh boy.
Anyway, I thought that was interesting.
All right, migration.
So, as many of you know, Boston is my second home.
So my mother went to Boston University.
My father went to Holy Cross and Worcester.
Long ties to Massachusetts in Boston.
I went to BU as well.
And Harvard, I worked at Channel 5, local, and Channel 7.
And I love Boston.
It's a fantastic city.
It's being ruined because the far left is taken over in Massachusetts.
Remember, that's where Romney was governor, not too long ago, but now it's Lunesville across the board.
So the mayor of Boston is a woman named Michelle Wu.
And Michelle is one of these liberals who believes that the other side, the people who disagree with her, are miscreants.
She's noble.
And she is the one who's benevolent and kind and charitable.
And if you don't agree with her, you're awful.
So Michelle Wu has set herself up to tell the federal government, screw you,
we're not going to enforce immigration law, and we don't care what you say.
Roll the tape.
To all the federal officials attacking communities that embody diversity,
creativity, and moral clarity.
We mayors said this in D.C. nearly six months ago, and I'll say it again today.
You are wrong on the law, and you are wrong on safety.
Okay, moral clarity.
That was the key phrase.
She feels that she is the noble one.
Okay.
Now, is there anything that the federal government, the Justice Department, Pam Bondi, the Attorney General, can do,
to Michelle Wu.
Let me set it up.
So yesterday, Bondi sends Wu a letter, okay, and says that because you're an unlawful sanctuary
city, there are potential violations of federal law about you interfering with federal
immigration enforcement.
So Bondi is going up against Wu.
But Wu on notice, this just happened yesterday.
Now, Wu loves that because then the liberal press in Boston, the Globe and Boston Herald is a conservative paper.
It's one of the few two newspaper towns left in America, and the local news tilts left.
Okay, so to Wu, this is this letter, it's great for her.
And it's a tough letter for Bondi because Bondi cannot charge Wu with anything if she just talks.
Wu would have to do something.
Let me give me an example.
Wu is demanding that the federal government, ICE, immigration authorities,
alert her office if any sweep is going to be made in Boston.
ICE isn't going to do that.
Doesn't have to do it by law.
But this is what Wu is demanding.
So say that Holman, the head of ICE, said, okay,
we'll be respectful to Mayor Wu,
and we'll tell her that we're going to go into Roxbury on Tuesday
and pick up some criminal aliens.
If Wu then told the community activists in Roxbury,
that was going to happen, they could charge her
with interfering with the federal investigation.
She'd have to do that.
And I don't think that woman's that stupid to do it.
Although, I don't think she'd mind being
cuffed by the feds because, again, this is local politics for her.
Fascinating situation.
I am on it, all right, because I know everybody in Boston.
And I'm just watching this really closely.
Adam Schiff, so he's under investigation.
I'm by the federal government now.
He's a senator from California, hates Trump.
So according to the federal housing agency,
Senator Schiff misrepresented a Maryland home
as his primary residence to secure more favorable loan terms
when his real home is in California.
That's a crime.
Fraud.
So they're going after Schiff, and you know why?
Because of President Trump wants to get Schiff.
So, Schiff knows it's coming.
What does he do?
He creates a defense fund, so he wants us to pay his lawyer's legal bills.
Okay, and this was filed last Thursday, August 14th, with the IRS.
So if you're going to set up a fund, if somebody pay your bills, you've got to tell the IRS you're doing it.
So if you want to donate to Senator Schiff's fun, I'm not even going to give you the address.
I don't like Schiff at all.
I don't think he's an honest man.
But it's my opinion.
He may be as honest as Benjamin Franklin, but to me, over the years,
ooh, Hollywood.
All right.
Now, I was talking a bunch of people this week about entertainment because a very precise.
Hollywood Company has bought Confronting Evil to stream to make television episodes.
And we're hoping that obviously comes to fruition, but they bought it.
So I'm back in Hollywood.
I've had four movies produced.
I'm the GP on all of them.
Killing Lincoln, killing Kennedy, killing Jesus, killing Reagan.
All fabulously successful.
You can get them all on paper review if you want to see them.
Okay.
So I'm back in that Hollywood milieu or whatever.
And I'm finding that there is no repentance at all, none for the radical left taken over the industry.
You know, the television industry in New York is pulling back.
You know that.
Not in Hollywood.
Okay.
Adjacent to this is a incident that happened on,
Fox News, where on Gutfeld's program, one of the featured players said that Scott Bayo, the
former Happy Days actor, and he did a lot of other stuff too, but that's where he's primarily
known from, okay, was dead or disappeared. Yeah, it was a stupid comment. And then I know Bayo
for a long time. And I went, well, that wasn't very nice. And then Bayo came out, as he should have
and said, no, I'm alive and well, and I'm doing great. And I said, let's get scared. And I said,
Let's get Scott on the program, because I got a bunch of questions about Hollywood, I want to ask him.
Main character and Happy Day is Richie Cunningham, played by Ron Howard.
Very talented guy, by the way, Howard.
But you don't get more left wing than Howard.
And he's prospered in his career because he's right in there with all the other lefties in Hollywood.
So I just want to put everything into perspective here.
And joining us now from Sarasota, Florida, where he now lives, is Scott Beow, who has a podcast.
Everybody has a podcast, Beow.
I don't want to diminish yours.
I'm sure it's excellent.
But, you know, I had a person come in and do my pool yesterday out here on Eastern Long Island, and they have a podcast.
Everybody's got a podcast.
Yeah, everybody's got one.
Take a dive, I think, is the podcast.
Hey, do you watch my podcast?
I'll tell you how to do your pool.
But mine is good, Bill.
It's on.
We go live every Wednesday night at 8 o'clock.
I heard that it was good.
Somebody told me in our editorial meeting today,
he goes, hey, you know, Bayo's podcast is pretty good.
And so now I have to watch it, which thanks a lot.
I only have 23 hours of work to do every day.
So I want to talk about this.
I want to talk about this.
I've known you for a long time.
and I think that you're a good man.
And I also think, and you correct me if I'm wrong,
because I don't follow you around,
that your acting career suffered
because you are a traditional conservative man.
Am I wrong?
You're not wrong.
You're 100% correct.
I, the story goes,
I was, President Donald Trump asked me
to speak at the Republican convention in Cleveland in 2016.
He asked me personally, face-to-face.
And I knew I was going to do it.
And I knew that at that point, my career would have suffered.
And I even said in an interview that I don't care if I ever work again
because I want to do this from my child,
and I know what's going to happen to me.
Well, what did you know?
I know that the blowback would be astronomical.
I knew that I would probably be canceled.
I knew that I would be an outcast.
I knew it would ostensibly be over.
Did you know?
And I was right.
Did you know who was going to do that?
Did you know the names of people who were going to do that?
I'll give you one example.
After Trump won in 2018,
my friend George and I, who's in the business,
had an idea for a show.
And we sent it to somebody, he emailed somebody he knew at ABC,
who was a VP of television or whatever.
And his email, Bill, said,
hey, this is George and I have this idea with Scott Bayo, blah, blah, blah, blah.
her name is Dawn Soleil or Dawn Soler, and she writes back to George,
I don't want anything to do with Scott Trump Bayer.
Oh.
And I cannot dispute that.
That's a book.
You know, I can't dispute that because not the same thing happened to me,
but we have had a lot of good projects.
Projects that make people lots of money.
And because I'm not a liberal, guys like Ari Emanuel,
They had of William Morris, you know, stuff like that.
They wouldn't deal with it.
They just absolutely won't deal with you unless you have what they call the credentials,
the political credentials.
I know them all.
I know every one of them.
Now, will they admit it?
Not in public.
But you were lucky enough to get that email shown to you.
So is there a solution to this problem?
Because you moved to Sarasota where you're much better on.
often if you were living in Burbank and you look good and your career, I think, is, you know,
you're doing, you're happy, you've got a good family. Is there a solution to the problem?
Well, of course there's a solution, but I don't think it'll ever happen. The solution is you've got to
get more either non-political or conservative people into the entertainment business. And there are,
There are some there, Bill, but they're afraid.
They're afraid.
And I think they're still afraid.
And there's no apology.
The Democrat Party won't apologize for COVID or for Russia.
No, they justify it.
Absolutely justify it.
If you don't think the way they do, then you're not worthy.
As this Mike Myers once said on SNL, we're not worthy.
Anyway, Scott, look, are you doing well?
You need us for anything at all.
Anybody does anything toward you?
You are my, you know, I'm your first call.
I saw Scott last at the Joe Namath benefit to help the football players with brain injuries.
A good guy, as I said.
So, thanks for checking.
Just let me say something.
Can I just say something about that?
Absolutely.
You know, it's about you.
And I consider you a friend.
And when I, we were, where was, it was in Florida somewhere, I think.
And I don't remember.
I just moved here.
It was Jupiter.
Okay.
It was crowded.
And I'm sure people look at you, Bill, and see you as an intimidating man, intellectually and physical.
And I was talking to somebody.
And you went out of your way to say hello to me.
And I want you to know how much I appreciate that.
You know, I mean, look, I try to be a, not, I don't think nice would ever be applied to me, bail.
But I try to be respectful.
And you're a man of a, you're a man of accomplishment.
At Happy Days program, that was an iconic broadcast that gave pleasure to tens of millions, hundreds of millions of people around
the world. And it should be respected, as should you, and these Hollywood pinheads who would,
you know, cancel you, boy, you got anybody on your sheet, you send me the name and we'll,
I will. We'll have a chat. We'll have a chat with them. All right, Scott. Thanks very much.
Be well. Back with the final thought in a moment. Okay, final thought. We're off for vacation.
And I got to give myself and my staff a break. So we will see you again on September 2nd, Tuesday.
I'm going to do a vacation diary every day on Bill O'Reilly.com in the morning message slot.
Tell you what I'm up to.
Big story.
I'll tell you what I think.
So go there.
And we have an excerpt from Confronting Evil.
We're going to post tonight the Putin chapter.
Wow.
What a hot chapter that is.
So you want to get a little feel for Confronting Evil?
Bill O'Reilly.com.
We'll have the excerpt.
So I hope you have a great rest of the summer.
Thank you for being loyal to Bill O'Reilly.com and to the no-spin news.
Really appreciate it.
