Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey Bill O'Reilly here. Welcome to the No Spin News for Tuesday, July 9, 2004, stand up for your country. Well, last night, again, the New York Times, which is allied with the Democratic Party. You have to go back 70 years to find a Republican presidential contender that the New York Times endorsed. So they have an alliance with the Democrats. And once again, they have asked Joe Biden to leave the race. That's a pretty powerful situation for the left when the most important liberal newspaper turns on a president. So that would only happen with the permission, is probably too strong a word, but with the agreement of Barack Obama,
Starting point is 00:01:09 who is the most powerful person within the Democratic Party today. He holds an amazing amount of power behind the scenes. He is not a man who flaunts that power publicly. He doesn't do daily puppet pulling, string pulling. Like I get a letter, he's like, Obama's running a country. No, he's not. Okay. However, if he wants to get something done in Democratic circles, it'll get done.
Starting point is 00:01:34 And he doesn't want Joe Biden to run because Barack Obama and other chieftains inside the Democratic Party, no, Biden will probably lose and they'll lose Congress as well, the Democrats. So they want a new candidate. And that's the signal that was once again sent today. Now, in D.C., the NATO meetings begin, and it is hot there. There's going to be a bunch of parties, and this is the 75th anniversary of NATO. I'll tell you more about that later. But the most important thing here is that President Biden is supposed to hold a solo press conference on Thursday after the NATO people depart.
Starting point is 00:02:20 It's supposed to be in the early evening. I don't know here. Because if Biden does not get through that press conference, it's not going to be about NATO. It's going to be about him. He's got to resign by the weekend. I mean, this is it. And the press is going to be showing their fangs on Biden.
Starting point is 00:02:43 It's not going to be some easy deal anymore. more. So that's what's happening. And the talking points memo is putting politics above your country. So here's what the New York Times wrote, quote, the 2024 presidential election is not a contest between two men or even between two political parties. It's a battle for who we are as a nation. President Biden clearly understands the stakes, but he seems to have lost track of his own role in this national drama. As a situation become more dire, he has come to regard himself as indispensable. He's not seemed to understand that he is now the problem. And the best hope for Democrats to retain the White House is for him to step aside. Well, it doesn't get more clear
Starting point is 00:03:30 than that. The power brokers within the Democratic Party once again want Joe out. Okay. So there are some people still in Biden's orbit, but they're always hedging a little bit. Roll of tape. I'm going to support him. I stand with Joe Biden as being our next president with Kamala Harris standing right next to him as our vice president. The president has always had our backs. We're going to have his back as well because the results that we've been able to see under this administration have been under denial in all of our individual states.
Starting point is 00:04:09 I think Joe Biden, two things, is the strongest, most accomplished president we've had in my lifetime, that he's been counted out over and over and over. Well, that's just delusional. With all due respect to Senator Coons, Adela Weren, that's just delusional that he's the best president in your lifetime. I mean, it's absurd. And let me back that up with some. facts. All right. Since President Biden has been in office, there have been more than 8 million
Starting point is 00:04:42 encounters, that's what they call migrants interacting with homeland security. Okay, more than 8 million. That does not include gotaways or visa overstays. So the total is more than 11 million foreign nationals sieging the United States. Okay. And by the end of his term, that'll probably be 12 million, maybe more. This has cost us about a half trillion dollars, the American taxpayer, to deal with this open border stuff. Now, you see above that Trump, in his four years, had 2.5 million encounters, as opposed to probably 10 million encounters for Biden. That's what the open border does. The average family, this is a very important stat, in Trump's last year in office, paid $6,500 in monthly expenses. Now that number has risen to about $9,000, probably more
Starting point is 00:05:55 because we don't have the 23 stats in. So from $6,500 family of four, now I'm going to call it $9,500 family of four, $3,000 coming out of your wallet since Biden has been elected and it's going to go higher because the stats lag. All right? This is a catastrophe for working people because their salaries have not kept pace and they're paying more and more and more. And that doesn't count highest prices ever for homes, highest priced ever for car insurance and house insurance, and on and on and on and on. I saw Bernie Sanders on CNN. Oh, working people under Biden.
Starting point is 00:06:42 You're just, again, I'm not going to call Senator Sanders a liar because he may not be smart enough to understand how the working American is getting killed under Biden. Really, Sanders may not be smart enough to understand that. The bilge, B-I-L-G-E's, he puts out there. Okay, spending on Ukraine, which would not have happened if Trump had been president, in my opinion, is now $200 billion. That's another thing. I need $200 billion out.
Starting point is 00:07:16 You add to that to the $500 billion to deal with the foreign nationals, you know, and abortions. Under Trump, 2.5 million in four years, under Biden, 3 million, 2.9 and 3.5 years. years going to hit more than four million. Okay, one more more stat here that that's important. So when you have an open border, you have drug ODs and three years under Trump we had 200,000 drug ODs approximately. Three years under Biden, three hundred twenty-six thousand. Now, that shows you that the open border leads to death, the death of Americans, because the narcotics come in, flood in, because the border is easily accessible to the drug cartels in Mexico. And then you have these people going out and telling you, speaking to the American public, on television, I don't know, Biden's great.
Starting point is 00:08:28 He's the greatest president of my lifetime. Now, when you hear that, you should file it in your mind. Who is saying that? So this is offensive to me. I mean, if you're not smart enough to understand what a bad president, Joe Biden, has been, you shouldn't vote at all. I pity you. All right.
Starting point is 00:08:55 So NATO is underway, and that's what Biden will be doing this week. No fundraising for Joe. Okay, and I'll get to the fundraising in a moment. It's very important. Solo press conference. Now, we will not be on the air to monitor that press conference on Thursday, but I will watch every second of it, and I will tweet during it at Bill O'Reilly, at Bill O'Reilly.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Then I will write a Friday message on Bill O'Reilly.com on it and a column on Sunday on it. But we will have that coverage for you. But our tape schedule is we have to meet our distributors all around the world, so we can't go live, as they say, because we've got to send this stuff out. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold.
Starting point is 00:09:56 That's why I protected my savings with physical goals. gold and silver. Through the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. And you can do this. Starting point is 00:10:49 Power, politics and the people behind the headlines. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One. Every week I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful disruptors, lawmakers, lawmakers, and even the president of the United States. These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world. Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:11:28 You don't want to miss an episode. All right, this is a very interesting story. So everybody knows, everybody who is thinking clearly and who's honest, that Joe Biden is mentally diminished. Why? We don't know why. We don't know exactly what the diagnosis is. So now we learn that a doctor who specializes in Parkinson's disease made 10 White House visits. His name is Dr. Kevin Kennard, C-A-N-A-R-D. All right, he's out. out of Maryland.
Starting point is 00:12:01 And he's at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. And he goes over 10 times. New York Post broke the story. Then the New York Times followed up on him. OK, so why is he in the White House 10 times? Well, Corinne, Jean-Pierre didn't want to tell anybody. Go. We cannot share names of specialists broadly.
Starting point is 00:12:23 From a dermatologist to a neurologist. We cannot share names. There are security reasons. We have to, we have to protect. I understand that. I hear you. Right there for anyone to see. Ed, I hear you.
Starting point is 00:12:37 I cannot from here confirm any of that because we have to keep their privacy. I think they would appreciate that too. We have to give them. We have to keep their privacy. That's not true. That's an outright lie. Because the doctor has to sign in to the White House. Okay, his name has to be on people who visit.
Starting point is 00:13:01 That's how the New York Post got the story. Okay, that's not privacy. Anybody going to the White House knows when you go in there, it's public. It's the people's house, not private property. So Corinne Jamp here isn't smart enough to know that. So maybe lie is overstating it because she, like Bernie Sanders, they just don't know. And they don't want to know. Okay, it's not like she wants to know.
Starting point is 00:13:30 That was her excuse given to her by the White House communications. Well, the uproar was so intense that the White House would say, yeah, yeah, yeah, he did show up, but it was just routine. Routine 10 times. So you see what's happening here. This whole apparatus protecting Joe Biden has fallen apart. And how anybody could believe anything the White House says. from now on is just incredible but people believe what they want to believe okay so now we advance the story right Kamala Harris will replace Joe Biden on the ticket that is my prediction and I wrote
Starting point is 00:14:15 a column I hope you read it on bill o'reilly.com it is free Kamala for president the reason she will replace Biden is number one Biden can't stand up to the scrutiny as again Again, if he screws up on Thursday in a press conference, he's out the next day or the next couple of days. Any mistake he makes from now on is amplified, 10 million percent. Why will Kamala get it? Because the only way the $200 million that Biden has raised for the raise, the only person who can get that is the vice president, because they're considered a team. It's the Biden-Harris ticket, and this is under campaign finance law.
Starting point is 00:15:01 She can get the 200-mill. So Gavin Newsom, he can't get anything. He's going to come in and raise a half-billion dollars? He can't. It's possible. So the Democrats know there's nobody who can come in at the convention, open convention, and raise the money to compete against Trump, except Kamala Harris, and it will be her. because if they were insane enough to go against her,
Starting point is 00:15:28 then the African-Americans vote, that would be not good for them. And I'm going to have more on this tomorrow, but my prediction is Joe Biden will not run. Conno Harris will against Trump. So Michael Moore, you know him. He's a gadfly, a socialist Democrat. You know, doesn't like any capitalists or any Republicans or anybody like that.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Here's what he says, go. But if I have to be the only one to stand for Joe Biden, that's right. That's me. You heard me say that. If I have to be the only one to stand up for Joe Biden here to protect him from the cruelest form of elder abuse I've ever been forced to watch, well, then that's what I'll do. he was an epic distress that Thursday night every cognitive default in his mind seemed to be shutting down
Starting point is 00:16:28 if this had been somebody that you truly cared about loved embraced what would you have done okay so he doesn't mention more Jill Biden who is doing it Joe Biden could go to her husband now and say, look, Joe, it's over, you know, for your health.
Starting point is 00:16:54 We're going to get you out of here. You don't deserve to be pounded like this. No human being can take that kind of stuff. So let's depart with grace. She could do that, but she didn't want to do it. As I described on News Nation last night, go. Joe Biden does everything his wife tells him to do, and we all know husbands like that. But this one, I didn't think that she was going to put her husband in this kind of danger.
Starting point is 00:17:24 And let me just one more, because I know you've got to run. Can you imagine the stress that Joe Biden is under as a human being right now? Every word, every slip, everything he do is on page one. He screws up anyway. All right? Boom. Boom. every hour of every day somebody is saying bad things about joe biden there's only so much a human
Starting point is 00:17:51 being can take and jill biden is putting her husband in that kill zone and that is the truth so there you go now as we mentioned the new york times and other liberal news organizations and we named him yesterday are turning on biden they want them out um The situation is, I don't know one liberal newspaper, not one, that is saying, hey, Joe, stay. If you do know one in your town, please let me know. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com, bill at bill o'Reilly.com. Joining us now is a professor of communication at DePaul University, Jeffrey McCall, comes to us from Greencastle, Indiana. Anna, he's a media columnist for the Hill, and I read his stuff all the time, because you're essentially, in my opinion, fair. You're not an ideologue coming at it from one point or another. So I have a number of questions for you. There's no doubt that the liberal media, in my mind, covered for Biden for maybe two years or so. Do you see it that way?
Starting point is 00:19:06 Oh, yes, I do. I think actually the media covering for Joe Biden goes back even to the campaign of 2020, where they gave him very soft treatment while he ran a campaign from his basement. And it was explained away pretty much just as it was COVID and nobody could be outside and that sort of thing. But I look at the way that the media has covered the Biden administration over the last couple of years as what I call the journalism of omission. Because the establishment media, has consciously made a point to not cover much of the bad news of the Biden administration, which would primarily be questions about his age and his frailty and his cognitive limitations, but also, as you were mentioning earlier, about problems on the border, drug overdoses, inflation, and all that sort of thing. So I really think the establishment media has worked very hard to do this collective journalism of omission. And keep in mind, omissions are not accidents. These are conscious decisions by the news organizations, executive producers, editors, and that sort of thing, to try to provide cover for the Biden administration
Starting point is 00:20:17 because that basically they can't afford to let him look frail or weak or ineffective at a time when they know in the field is the Republican candidate who happens to be Donald Trump. And that's the justification that no matter how incompetent Biden, is he's not as bad as the evil Trump. That's how they rationalize it. But it's not just, Professor, the news organization, it's entertainment as well. There's a study out that the late night entertainment is 96% liberal guests. And the 4% that aren't liberal are people like Liz Cheney who's bashing Trump. Okay? So there's no one, and I think I broke the record for non-liberal appearances on Leno and Letterman and Kimmel and John Stewart when I was at Fox.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Now nobody on Fox could get booked on any of those shows. I can't get booked on them. It's a total shutout. So while the press is omitting facts that Americans should know, the entertainment side is basically censoring any non-liberal opinion. The one-two punch, and you must see it. on the college students in your classroom. The one-two punch is devastating for the free flow of information, is it not?
Starting point is 00:21:44 Well, you're correct on that, although I must say I'm less concerned with the entertainment industry than I am with the professional journalism industry because we've thought over the years that the journalism industry had some standards where they were pursuing truth. They weren't in it for a joke. They weren't trying to push popular culture necessarily, and that they would maybe lead where the facts led them. And I think that's where we've seen the omission here over the last several years is we've seen basically no professional standards or acceptance of journalists' normal function of trying to inform a nation. And I think that's one of the things here is that we've seen
Starting point is 00:22:21 over the last couple of years censorship by the press, that the press is in a sense censored the stories that should be floating around in the rhetorical sphere, as we say, where we should be trying to inform the nation. And they really let themselves down on that. And that's why shows like mine are growing. And I'm going to give some stats at the end of this program that are stunning about how much our audience has grown. And we are now competing with the corporate media. So we're seeing now the New York Times and other offenders trying to rehabilitate their reputations by going after Joe Biden. We're seeing an NBC News even did it.
Starting point is 00:23:06 You think that's going to work? Well, I don't think so. I think the reputations and the credibility for most of the establishment media are already in very bad shape. And the one question I would ask to all of the producers and editors out there now who seem to be on the warpath against Biden, I would say to them, what is it you know now about Biden and his capabilities or his cognitive limitations that you didn't know several months ago or throughout the whole primary season or even two years ago when the
Starting point is 00:23:35 Easter bunny was protecting Joe Biden against talking to people, you know, at the rope line, at an Easter hand. I remember that. Right. So I mean, you think about these kinds of things. You'll never get an answer. You'll never get an answer to that. The signals have been out there for a long time. And I think one of the greatest pathways that the media could have used to pursue the story of Biden's incapability was when Robert Her's report came out, last winter because Robert Hurst spent two days and multiple hours interviewing the president last October. And when he issued his report and indicated that the president had memory problems and mental lapses, that would have given the press every opportunity to go into a deep dive
Starting point is 00:24:19 to say, what is it that we're seeing here? And why is it that the president didn't show up for a Super Bowl interview? Why does the president not hold press conferences or do journalistic interviews anymore. And instead, the press dismissed Robert Hearst report as a political hack job. And they dismissed him by just saying he's a political activist and there's nothing to see here because he's not going to charge the president, but Trump is being charged for the classified documents kind of stuff. Yeah, of course. But the recompense is in now. Washington Post lost $77 million dollars last year. The network news ratings are awful. The cable news ratings, I have the average age. This is amazing. MSNBC's median age is 70. All right, Fox News is just about
Starting point is 00:25:14 70. CNN's is 67. So younger people below 54, they're out. They're already said, We're getting hosed. These people are manipulating us with propaganda. We can't trust them. We're not going to take their product at all. So finally, right? What was Reverend Wright's famous quote, the chickens come home to roost.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Last word. Yeah, media credibility is tanking. And as you've indicated here, audiences are going someplace else. because audiences no longer have any confidence in the traditional media sources they've had because they view these media sources as activist organizations rather than news organizations. And when you don't trust them, you are going to go to alternative sources of media. Some of them are more responsible than others, but my fear is your average news consumer gets disgruntled with establishment media,
Starting point is 00:26:19 and they go off on different pathways or they're getting news from Twitter or whatever, and that's not necessarily a great place. No, but you read my message of the day. They're coming here. And that will serve them well. Hey, Professor, have a nice summer. We really appreciate your time. And we will have the stats on the NOSPA News
Starting point is 00:26:40 at the end of, in the final thought. Listen and subscribe on Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Okay, so you remember the Dominion lawsuit against Fox News, where Fox had to settle
Starting point is 00:27:54 and pay a billion dollars, and that includes lawyer fees and all kinds of other fees, in addition to the almost $800 million in judgments to Dominion. You remember that, okay? Terrible embarrassment for Fox News. Well, there's another lawsuit that's still in play, all right? That's Smartmatic, much smaller voting machine company than Dominion, but it sued Fox, and it sued one America, one America, America settled with SmartMatic, gave them money, and it sued Newsmax.
Starting point is 00:28:29 The Newsmax case, SmartMatic versus Newsmax, is September 24th. The Fox News case is still not got a date. Okay. Now, this costs SmartMatic a gazillion dollars to hire lawyers to sue these media companies. Okay. and how does smart manic a little voting machine how do they pay the lawyers well enter reed hoffman you know this guy so he is the uh inventor of link in media i think a media social media thing all right he's a big rich guy and he's funding the lawsuits to the tune of about ten million dollars
Starting point is 00:29:20 Reid Hoffman is giving money to Smart Maddoch to pay the lawyers to go after Fox News and Newsmax. Do you know that? Anybody report that? Now, I saw this happen a number of times at Fox when I was there that George Soros type people, type people, I want to be very clear, I'm not making an accusation as any individual, funded attacks against Fox and me. So it's a nasty, nasty game, Reid Hoffman, 56 years old, all right, and not a good guy. All right, smart life, patience. I do not have patience.
Starting point is 00:30:05 I think that's my biggest weakness. I don't have patience. So the Cleveland Clinic is like the Mayo Clinic. If you are in trouble health-wise, you want to seek either the Mayo Clinic or the Cleveland Clinic out. And they have branches all over the place. They've issued a study advice on how to be patient. And I'm smart life passing along to you. First one is a practical mindfulness.
Starting point is 00:30:32 Well, that sounds kind of wind chimey, right? Mindfulness, what is that? Stay in the moment and don't leap to any conclusions. All right? Engage your senses and think about what's happening. Okay. deep breathing will help you with that. This is a little touchy-feely for me, all right?
Starting point is 00:30:55 So practice mindfulness. Slow it down. Okay. Whatever's happening to you and you're frustrated, you're impatient. Slow it down a little bit. Okay. Second one. Know what's in your control.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Realize that there are situations in life you can't do anything about. You caught a traffic jam. What are you going to do? You got to sit there and endure the pain. Nothing you can do about it. You can look at waves and ways will drive you into a tree. Okay? You just have to accept it when there's nothing you can do.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Listen to other people. Okay. I mean, that takes your mind off being impatient if you have a nice conversation and find some fun in your life that'll make you more patient. I don't know how. I have a lot of fun in my life and I'm still impatient. but that Smart Live Cleveland Clinic. Okay, if you want to leave the country, say Kamala Harris gets elected,
Starting point is 00:31:56 there'll be more than a few Americans go, you know, I pretty much had it. So where should you go? Well, these are the most affordable countries if you don't have a lot of money. Here they are. Number one, Vietnam, that's communist. So it's cheap to live there, but you can't say anything. Columbia, unless you're going to go to Cartaghan. Nice town. I don't think I'd go to Colombia. Indonesia, huge country, Muslims. I wouldn't go there. Panama. Now, a lot of people tell me Panama is good. I haven't been there.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Been to Costa Rica. Didn't really like it that much. Been to Colombia, so in between, but I'm into Panama. Philippines, beautiful. Hot. Ooh. And so is Vietnam. Hot, hot, hot. India, no way. There's just no way. I mean, I'm afraid of those cows. You can walk across the Ganges River. I'm not going. Mexico, forget it. Yeah, it's inexpensive to live in. There's a reason why it's inexpensive.
Starting point is 00:32:58 All right, you get out of a line, you'll bullet between the eyes. Thailand, very interesting country. Thailand, if you could take the heat, watch out for cobras. Brazil, I would not live in Brazil. Too chaotic down there for me. China, come on, come on. This is Internations Expat Insider. China? Yeah. Okay. If I have to leave the country, say they pay it, say commonly gets elected and she gets Congress to pass a wealth tax, it says all the rich people have to give the government 50% of everything they've ever earned. All right, I'm gone. And where do I go? I would go to Ireland in the spring, summer, and
Starting point is 00:33:47 early fall. And in the winter, I would go to the Bahamas. That's what Sean Connery did. He was in the Bahamas. That would be my two ports of call. Bermuda is a good place. But Bermuda, in the winter, a little chilly, and it's very expensive to go to Bermuda. Okay, what are we got, this day in history, right? So, 29 years ago today, July 9th, 1995, Jerry Garcia, the Grateful Dead frontman, made his last appearance. Rule the tape. ways to go, give that a shame. So Mr. Garcia, an icon of the late 1960s, early 70s, died a month later from a heart attack.
Starting point is 00:34:58 That was the cause was heroin. He was a drug addict, a heavy drug addict, a terrible physical shape, couldn't kick it, went to rehab after rehab after rehab, after rehab, he checks out, okay, 53 years old. He lasted longer than a lot of people thought he would. was a big drug user. The Grateful Dead, they went on and, you know, did concerts. They have big fans. I've never been part of that cult. But I do recognize the artistry of the Grateful Dead and their cultural importance. So Jerry Garcia, 29 years ago, today, last performance in Soldiersfield, Chicago. Back with some very good news in a moment. So here is the final thought
Starting point is 00:35:42 of the day, you know, when I, when I departed Fox News April 2017, we'd just come off a record ratings quarter, highest ratings ever for cable, according to Nielsen ratings, people. Okay, so my goal was to carry that momentum, that no spin concept to alternative media to compete with the corporate meeting. And I took some people from Fox News with me. I had a good base in which to launch our independent news agency. But I knew it was going to be a crusher. I learned so much. But now, Joe Biden, thank you, President Biden,
Starting point is 00:36:25 because of him, we are way, way up competing with the corporate media. Let me give you some stats. So the debate, after the debate, we had more than three million viewers on U.S. YouTube alone. That's par with what the cables do, okay? I should say with what Fox News does. MSNBC and CNN never see three million, ever. Also, we are on the first TV. We're on direct TV and our distributors are all over the world. So that's hundreds of thousands of more. Also, when I tweet tens of millions of people, read the tweets about what we're doing,
Starting point is 00:37:16 about our news coverage. So you add it all up, and this is a colossal audience worldwide watching us. And the beauty of it is you don't have to watch in live time. So if you're a premium conservation member, you watch anytime you want. Okay, and you get a transcript if you want it. Freak. And so you can be informed and you sometimes you're doing stuff and you're a home or whatever it means. That's the key to this. But the real key is we present the news in an honest way. We don't suppress. We don't distort. We don't spin. We don't do any of that. And you know it. I've been doing this a long time. And I would never have been this. successful if I was being deceitful. The reason that NBC News and CNN and the others are declining
Starting point is 00:38:07 is because they are deceitful on occasion. Not all the time, but on occasion, they're deceitful. We are never deceitful here. So you can count on us. I know a lot of you don't like some of the things I say. That's fine. I'm not looking for agreement. I don't want the choir. I want everybody, not just the choir. So this is great news. And I got to thank my staff, too. because we work damn hard. I mean, we don't have an army of people. We have good people, but they work hard. And it's all paying off now,
Starting point is 00:38:42 especially at this time when America could go either way. You know, the cliff is right there. And we always back up our commentary with facts as we did this evening. And I hope you enjoy it and appreciate it. Thank you for watching us tonight. We'll see you guys. more.
