This episode is brought to you by San Pellegrino Chau.
A new kind of flavor of sparkling water.
The kind made with real fruit juice, a pinch of Sicilian salt, and the sparkle of the Italian sun.
With no added sugar and just 10 or less calories per can, enjoy.
With love from Italy.
By San Pellegrino Chau now.
Not many people paid attention because of an inauguration to,
Governor Hokel's annual address, but I did on your behalf. And it's stunning. I'll give you the
stats. So the budget for 25 in New York State is $252 billion. That's what Albany is going to spend
than a year. 252. That's 19 billion more than last year. 36 billion more than 22. Now, by comparison,
New York State is 20 million people. It's 20 million of us. Florida is 23. New York State
tax is pushing about 10 percent state tax. Florida didn't have one. Florida's budget a year is
116 billion. Again, New York, 252 billion. Florida, more people, 116 billion. Are you kidding me?
How about Texas? No state tax. All right. Theirs is 160 billion, 160 billion. 1-60.
So it's almost 100 billion less in Texas, which is 30 million people. We have 20.
The math is stunning.
So here's what's going on.
You probably know this, but I have to tell you.
The Democrats control the state of New York and the city of New York.
The Democrats buy votes.
They say to people who don't have much money,
we will give you as much as we can with no strings attached.
So we'll send you a welfare check.
We'll give you housing.
will give you food stamps, we'll give you child credits, we'll give you everything.
You don't have to look for a job.
We're not going to drug test you so you can be a substance abuser
and take the tax money and spend it on narcotics or booze.
Fine with us, we don't care.
And by doing that, the people who are not affluent in New York
vote for Democrats.
It's as simple as that.
And that's how the Democratic Party has achieved and retained power.
So $252 billion, this is what Governor Hockel is going to spend and the legislature, okay?
Doesn't have to spend that.
It doesn't have to spend close to that.
And as a result, we who work hard, like you and me, are paying the highest taxes in the country.
And as a result of that, the state of New York is losing millions of people.
Millions of people leaving.
And they're being replaced with people who are born overseas, who don't have anything,
and who are going to be on the dole, who are going to be receiving subsidies from the Democratic Party.
This is how it works.
So I can't leave.
New York, I don't want to leave.
I mean, I get legacy here way back, hundreds of years.
I mean, I'm talking hundreds of years on my mother's side in New York.
And I don't want to leave.
I got kids.
I got friends.
I got businesses.
I like the sports teams.
I like W.A.B.C.
I like, what do I want to live?
I lived in Florida for two years. Too hot for me. I'm Irish. Okay, it's hot, six months every day,
every night, every second. Hot. Yeah, you can get air conditioning, but you want to be, you know,
come on. Here, at least, you know, it's cold now, but in two weeks it'll be all right.
And in the summer, it gets hot, but then it cools down. Not in Florida or Texas. Texas is actually
hotter than Florida in the summer. But those people are managing their money down there,
and you will save a ton of money if you move to Florida, Texas, Tennessee, the Carolinas,
depending on where you go. And that's what people are doing it. Because they know that New York
doesn't have any respect for you, the working person. They will take as much of your money
as they can possibly take and give it away.
Oh, but you have to be compassionate.
I am.
I give more to charity than Kathy Hokel could ever even imagine,
but I don't want to be fleeced by a party that's buying votes.
