Welcome to the No Spin News, Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Take Your Country Back.
This morning on the Florida Senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, I'm not a bad fan of his,
as you may know. I think he's a swamp creature. He could have gotten Kate's law passed
when I was promoting that. He did not. It was never an explanation. But he went out to the Senate
today. He said, listen, enough with the Mueller stuff. We had vexing problems.
here in the USA, they've got to be dealt with enough of this.
Okay?
We got the report, 284 pages.
Every American can read it.
If you think Donald Trump did something, don't vote for them.
But Congress has got to move forward.
I thought it was very logical.
All right, then, of course, Elizabeth Warren desperately trying to hold on to the fantasy
that she'll ever become president, which he won't, gets out there for almost an hour and says,
oh, he's guilty, he's guilty, he's guilty.
Yeah, look, Ms. Warren.
You don't believe in due process.
We know you don't.
You're a witch hunter.
Whatever you say really doesn't matter to fair-minded people.
And this isn't a Democrat-Republican thing.
This isn't a live-as-with-Warrant thing.
All right?
So Harvard professor, she knows what due process is.
She denies it to anybody she doesn't like.
Anyway, then she goes down a list of all these people,
former prosecutors who have convicted Trump of obstruction of justice.
I read one of their articles today.
They list a whole bunch of former prosecutors
who signed a petition saying
President Trump would have been charged
with the obstruction of justice
had he been to anybody else.
All right, that's an opinion.
You're entitled to hold that opinion.
But when I read the article of the woman
of the former prosecutor,
he said, well, this is it.
She's basing everything on conversations
that President Trump had,
not actions,
conversations,
where a guy like Trump ruminates about everything.
He's not thinking,
gee, if I try to convince somebody
to take it easy in this investigation because nothing happened, that's a structure of justice.
That's not what he does. He just ruminates about, says what's on his mind, saying and doing a two
different thing. You can say you want to rob the bank. But if you don't do it and you don't
plan it and you don't have big guns in your house to carry it out, you're not, you can't be
charged. There's such a thing as conspiracy, but you've got to take active step. Trump is
just mouths off. You want to punish him and destroy them. You Elizabeth Warren and you're
merry Democrats. And we'll take a quick break back on Anthony Scaramucci. Roll it. If you are over
the age of 50, I have an important message for you. There's a true alternative to AARP,
the liberal retirement group, that lobbies in favor of progressive policies. For less than
$20 a year, an AMAC membership gives you

Anthony Scaramucci. He's in Las Vegas, I guess, making a lot of money. So that's what Anthony does.
I got a lot of questions all over the place for you. Now, you wrote a book called Trump,
the Blue Collar President. And basically, what your book said was that he appealed, even though he's
a billionaire, to the working men and women of the country. Now that he is being battered every
hour on the hour, he's a bigot. He's a crook. He's a crook.
with Putin, he's this, he's that.
Do you think that the working people are now more skeptical of him than they were two and a half years ago when they voted?
No, I don't think that that's it.
I think that there are two things going on with the president.
He's not going to like me saying this, so I'll probably be dipped into the disfavorable poll again.
But there's a what he's doing, Bill, and there's how he's doing it.
And so what he's doing has been nothing short of spectacular.
And he is the president that shows everybody that real good policies work.
But how he's doing it and the confrontation and the controversial nature of some of the things that he's doing that's causing this uproar could cause some Trump fatigue.
Well, give me an example.
Give me an example about how that you don't like.
Okay.
So when you're calling Rex Tillerson, dumb as a rock on Twitter, because he said something.
about you. It may feel good in the moment, but what it does is to white suburban women who
are trying to teach their children about anti-bullying, it could be a turnoff. And so he got 52%
of those women last time. He needs that same coalition to win reelection. So that would be one
example. An example that would hurt people that are market participants is the market's doing
great. Why do you need to be tweeting about the Chinese right now to upset the market? You know
you're going to get the deal done with them.
You're on the two-inch line.
Steve Mnuchin was at the Milken conference last week
saying that he thought the deal was getting done this or next week.
You're really down to the minutia.
Let me play devil's advocate there.
From what my sources tell me,
the Chinese pulled back on stuff that they had to agree to.
So where Mnuchin and everybody else thought a deal was imminent,
then the Chinese walking and go,
ah, you know, I don't think we're going to do that.
And that teed Trump off, so he threw the hand grenade in there going, look, you may not think I'm serious, but I'll wreck your economy because the 25% tariff would.
You better come back and be reasonable.
I think that's what happened.
Okay, well, okay, so let's agree that that happened.
And then let's go back to the how question.
I think you or I would probably have handled that differently.
I don't think there was any need to drop that kind of a hand grenade.
So it's that level of bombast that could potentially tire out and fatigue some of the people that the president needs to win reelection.
I'm not saying that's going to happen.
I think he's likely going to win, but I'm just pointing out the what and the how.
But this is fascinating.
Okay.
All right.
We're going to take quick break.
Be back with mail.
My final thought of the day is I'm going to bring Marilyn Monroe into the conversation.
Roll it.
Recently, I had a great conversation with the CEO.
of the Hartford Gold Group, Sanford Man.
He's a true entrepreneur.

Okay, let's get a little mail going on.
Lloyd, it would be good to see Mueller testify.
We could ask how long he knew
there was no collusion, why he hired all Democrats
for his investigation,
why didn't investigate the dossier
FISA abuses or the Democrat contractor
who tried to collude with Ukraine?
I can answer all those questions,
so Mueller might not be necessary.
All right, so the investigators knew
there was no collusion about a year end,
according to their notes.
He hired all Democrats because they were his friends,
and that's who really dominates Washington, D.C.
He didn't investigate the dossier,
abuses or Democratic contractors, because that wasn't in his purview. He wasn't allowed to do that.
Now, should Mueller testify? I'd like to see a debriefing of Robert Mueller, but a fair
debriefing, not a clown show, which is what Nadler's committee would be. They try to make
them look bad. They try to humiliate them. Then the Republicans do this or that. Do we really,
the nation really need that? So I don't know how it's going to shake. I assume Mueller's going to show
up to do it on May 15th. Okay, there's a final thought on Bill O'Reilly.com. So the other night I'm
watching Turner Classic movies, and the misfits comes on. I'm going, wow, you know, Marilyn Monroe is
not just this ditsy blonde. He's a good actor. But it occurred to me when I was watching it,
because Marilyn Monroe died very young and, you know, had a really screwed up life and never
really found happiness. It occurred to me, the talent just isn't enough.
You know, I speak to groups and students, and I said, look, find your talent.
Everybody's good at something.
Everybody.
That's why I believe in God.
If there were no God, there'd be people who were just walking into walls.
They couldn't do anything.
But every human being has a talent, every one of us.
Find it, and then use it to build a good life.
That's my final thought.
And tomorrow, Dennis Miller.
He's Joe Biden's big pal.
So Miller on the no spin news. We'll see you then.
