Welcome to the no-spin news, Tuesday, May 21st, 2019, pick your country back. So the first thing is, on Monday, May 20th, yesterday, all right, there was a meeting in Nancy Pelosi's lavish office in the House of Representatives Capitol. So in that room, and she's a speaker, so she gets a biggest office, were progressive Democrats who want to impeach Donald Trump, and moderate Democrats who don't. It was like a brawl.

Now, they weren't fisticuffs, but Ms. Pelosi wanted to try to get common ground between the progressive Democrats and the moderate Democrat. Couldn't do it. The progressive left is hell-bent on impeaching Donald Trump. That means they want to introduce articles of impeachment, and Nancy Pelosi, as Speaker, would have to shepherd that through the House. That's how it works. The House introduces articles of impeachment. The House votes on it, goes to the Senate, the Senate holds a trial, two-thirds of senators have to vote to convict. There's no way on earth Donald Trump would ever be convicted at this point in history. It's not going to happen. But the progressive left wants the exercise. Now, here's why Pelosi herself doesn't want it. Remember, this is a shrewd woman. All right? Been around for a long time. The first reason is there's absolutely no evidence that you could bring into a court of law

that the president committed a high crime or misdemeanor. We had two-year investigation. Mueller came back, no collusion, not enough evidence for obstruction. That's the fact. Nadler's committee, no matter what it says, is not going to override that report. Number two, in the Department of Justice, there will soon be a report out from the instructions. out from the Inspector General Michael Horowitz about whether the FBI, CIA, and other intelligence

agencies conducted an illegal investigation on Donald Trump and whether they were in the tank for Hillary Clinton exonerating her on the email stuff. That report, my sources tell me, is going to be scathing and may lead to criminal indictments against high-ranking FBI officials and perhaps others. If the Democratic Party writes up articles of impeachment, those indictments blow that out of the water and put the Democratic Party in a terrible position. So Pelosi knows you can't do anything until that report comes out.

The third and final thing are the polls. Most Americans don't want this, all right? NBC Wall Street Journal poll. Only 19% want articles of impeachment introduced into the House. 19%. If you read, you know that most Americans are going, what are you doing? We want health care.

We want a good economy. We want the border solved. We don't want this dog and pony show that's going to distract the government from solving problems. We don't want it. Pelosi knows it. And Pelosi knows if the radical left Democrats get what they want, they'll lose the House. Not only will they lose a presidential election

2020, they'll lose the House. America's like, I don't want these people. If he doesn't get what he wants, the president, then we have this economic war that will, I believe, impact the entire economy, maybe not now, but six months down the road. So is it worth

it? Is the fight worth it? Boy, that's a good question. And even my, you know, some of our, my colleagues here are economists at the Heritage Foundation. We have different opinions on this. I guess I would put it like this, Bill. Again, I'm a free trader. I understand

the benefits that when two, you know, parties trade with each other voluntarily, both parties are better off. But this is not a good relationship. It is not a level playing field. They have terrorists that are much, much higher than we do. And the question I would kind of throw that question back to you, wouldn't it be a good time right now to confront China when we have a very strong economy, their economy is struggling than maybe five or ten years from now when we might not have the leverage that we

have today? All right. You know, look, it's all speculative. We hope that the United States... I mean, where do you stand on this bill? I mean, what I'm here's how I stand on it. And thank you for asking. I know that China's cheating and I know they've cheated for a long, long time and I want the world to know that the United States is just not going to take this stuff. Right.

I also know that China came close to a deal and pulled back, and whenever you have a partner like that, it's not a partner any longer. You can't agree to something and then pull back on it because your word means nothing. So I'm supporting President Trump in this, but I'm a little
