Welcome to the no spin news for Monday, August 19th, 2019. Take your country back. So the media wants a recession. You know that. I mean, come on. And because they know that Donald Trump may win re-election if the economy is vibrant and strong. So Chuck Todd is an NBC guy, meet the press. He does a show on MSNBC. You know, okay. For years, Todd has been a Democrat. I think he's married to a Democrat. I could be wrong about that, but he's a Democrat. Now, he's not as bad as some of them on the left. I wouldn't say he's far left.

I'd say he's committed left, Chuck Todd. Of course, NBC News presents him as an objective guy. Yeah. So here's what Todd says on Meet the Press yesterday ago. Throughout his presidency, Donald Trump has had one powerful and faithful ally, the economy. More than anything else, he has counted on the economy. me to help overcome doubts about his style and carry him to re-election. But that ally may be deserting him.

This week's stock market tumble, 800 points on Wednesday, was not entirely Mr. Trump's doing, and by Friday some of that loss was recovered, but the drop can be tied to the uncertainty that has been caused by the trade war Mr. Trump has launched against China. The question for the president, will his supporters who have either embraced or simply accepted so much of his norm-breaking presidency be as forgiving of all of those norm-breaking of norms if the economy falters. Okay, so this is what they're trying to put, the doubt. And if the media gets behind, well, it's going to be a recession, it's going to be a recession.

There's more likelihood that there will be. Because it's you who controls the recessionary process. You, American consumers, and what they spend and how they use their money is the sole controller of a recession or an expense. or an expansion in the economy. You. So if Americans are going, oh, you know,

it might be some bad economic time. Maybe I don't spend as much. Maybe I don't buy the new car. Maybe I put off this for later to wait and see. That hurts the economy. That has nothing to do with China. Short-term, China is an annoyance to the stock market. And somewhat to the economy, but not a big factor yet.

could be, but not yet, all right? But the media trying to put that seed in. Will, if Americans get scared, will tilt the economy. Now, the Trump forces are out over the weekend go. It's not going to be a recession. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Trump's China policy is pretty good. China's been stealing from us for decades. He wants to, you know, write it. I don't know whether he's, going to be successful. But it's worth trying, in my opinion. All right, so there's a couple polls on economy, but it really doesn't matter. What I'm trying to get across here is the folks control what happens with the economy. And the media wants consumers to be scared. So you'll hear more and more and more of the stuff. Hong Kong. The police say 128,000 went out. Now, the police are under the thumb of Beijing. So I figure more than a million, all right? And what this is all about. And this actually helps President Trump, because the world is seeing that China is bad. They're bad. United States isn't bad. China's bad.

and the Hong Kong people, they're getting scared. They don't want to live under communism, and they don't want to live under totalitarianism. So Hong Kong, for those of you don't understand geopolitics, is a separate entity. All right? The British gave it to the Chinese. The Chinese own it,

but the Chinese agreed to let Hong Kong be capitalist and run their own affairs. All right? It's almost like Greenland. We're going to get to Greenland in a minute.
