Hey Bill O'Reilly here.
Welcome to the No Spin News, Monday, August 12, 2004, stand up for your country.
Lots a small ball over the weekend, nothing to get concerned about.
We are living in a country that loves small ball, generated mostly by the social media.
and then picked up by the pinheads in the corporate media,
but it doesn't mean much,
and I'll tell you about, specifically about that now.
But social media makes a big living off this.
You know, the garrish headlines,
and then you're reading the thing,
and you're, what are you talking about?
There's another waste of my time called clickbait awful.
But here, as you know, and this is why you are watching
and listening on our 300 radio stations across country,
we deal only with facts.
And the Talking Points Memo this evening is a new Associated Press poll.
All right, so the AP called up, got in touch with.
I don't really know how they do it on the Internet, but 1,143 adults.
You know, right away there's a problem.
You don't poll adults.
You poll likely voters or registered voters, because if you're getting into the adults,
then you're getting into zones where nobody knows anything.
Well, if you're not a registered voter, I'm sorry.
Polling is ridiculous, asking you questions.
Okay, Democrat 44% Republican 39, that's a little imbalanced by the AP.
It is a liberal organization, the Associated Press now.
But it's not too bad, but it should be a little closer.
First question.
Are you pessimistic or optimistic about the state of politics in the country?
All right, pessimistic, we're going into 82%.
I mean, that's a colossal repudiation of the American political system.
Only 18%, and most of them have to work for NBC News like it the way it is.
Generally speaking, would you say the things in this country are heading in the right or wrong direction?
Right direction, 26% wrong, 72%.
Now, that should mean a landslide for the Republican Party.
When you have 72% of the public saying, hey, things aren't going well, the other party wins, but not this year.
All right.
Third question.
Which of the following comes closest to your opinion?
Democracy in the USA is strong enough to withstand the outcome of the 24 presidential election, 21%.
So, that's not a big number.
Democracy in the USA could be at rest depending who wins the election.
59%.
That's the Trump propaganda people.
And then on the other side, that's the people who think Kamala Harris is a communist socialist.
Democracy in the USA is already so seriously broken.
It doesn't matter who wins 18%.
All right, then they have a bunch of favorable, unfavorable, but it's not worth your time or my time right now.
So the one shocker, though, is that 82% don't like politics.
So why?
Why?
That is a key question.
Well, Donald Trump is one big reason.
So 81 million people voted against him in 20.
A lot of people.
You don't like him.
Because he did a pretty good job.
If you want to be honest, in fact-based, Trump's four years pretty good.
When you read my book confronting the president's out September 10th, I prove it.
But I prove it here in my analysis anyway.
It did a pretty good job compared to the Biden administration.
The second thing is Kamala Harris.
Now Kamala Harris comes across as far and away the most progressive liberal candidate that we've ever had for president ever in this country.
And traditional conservative people, Syria is very, very dangerous.
You combine the anti-Trump with the anti-Komala, you got 82%.
That's where it is.
We have a poll in Bill O'Reilly.com.
I'm going to keep it over one more day.
Can Kamala Harris win the election?
And 61% say yes.
39 say no.
Well, she can win the election.
If Trump continues to make mistakes, Kamala Harris can win.
it's as simple as that.
Now, if Trump changes course a little bit, he should win.
Trump should win this election.
Even now, even now, with the media solidly behind Harris,
Trump's got the stronger case if you go facts.
Right?
And that's a memo.
I was going to give you the betting averages,
but we can't get them from England.
I'm going to get them.
So in the United States, you're not allowed to bet on the presidential election.
And they do have betting odds here, but I want to get them from Ladbrook in London.
I'm going to get them.
And I'll try to get them by tomorrow.
I'll show you where the big money is going on the election.
All right, Kamala Harris, today, a video conference for union people.
Nothing tomorrow, nothing Wednesday.
Thursday shows up with Biden.
to talk about how they are bringing costs down for the American people.
I don't want to be cynical about this, but come on, give me a break.
Were you?
All right, inflation under Trump, 1.5, and then you get in, it hits 12% for a few weeks.
Come on.
And now you're going to tell us how you're bringing them down.
Okay, that's in Maryland.
And Kamala stole from Trump the don't tax tips.
did you notice that over the weekend
Trump rolled that out in Nevada
and now Kamala's going
she stole it from him
I thought that was pretty amusing
of course she credited for it
now Trump
is all over the place
because we don't really know
he said he wasn't going to do much
until a convention
Democratic Convention Chicago ends next week
but now he's doing a lot
Elon Musk is supposed to interview him
tonight at p.m. X.
All right, Wednesday, he's going to Asheville, North Carolina.
Friday, he's going to Wilkesbury, Pennsylvania, I guess, for rallies and stuff like that.
All right, Donald Trump's also suing the Department of Justice for $100 million about Mala Lago.
All right?
So Trump's lawyer says, torches, torches, torches, torches.
I'm probably saying it wrong.
That's why I couldn't get into law school.
No, I never tried.
torturous acts against the president are rooted in intrusion upon seclusion, malicious, prosecution, abuse, and process.
You're not going to get anywhere.
In fact, they give the Department of Justice a half year to answer the complaint, but he's suing.
Press propaganda.
Now, here we go.
This drives me nuts.
It's at an all-time high in our country.
just propaganda.
The corporate media
is putting stuff out
directed by both political parties.
We've gone over this. I've reported how it's done. I reported who
who's doing it in Washington. They fax out every morning.
This is what you say and these pundits run on television and say
it. Now because there are so many more Democratic pundits on TV
than Republicans. It's lopsided. Here's the latest. Roll the tape.
Populist approach to fear on the Republican side and the happy populism and the happy populism
that Tim Walz is on the ticket on the Democratic side.
Walls is a kind of happy warrior. Happy warriors. Happy warriors. He was certainly the happy warrior
last night and seemed to be the happy warrior last night. Happy warrior, folksie backstores,
are going to be very happy warriors. There is a new happy war.
Following the kind of happy warrior mode.
Happy warrior.
Happy warrior mentality.
That's what was faxed out that day, happy warrior.
Now, if I'm in charge of any of those news organizations, I fire every single person who use the words happy warrior, unless they were mocking it or reporting on it like I am.
But anybody who used that propaganda sent to them by the Democratic Party would have been fired immediately.
by me. And I would have fired them with cause. This is a news organization. This is not
an adjunct to a political party. Doesn't that make you angry? I mean, maybe it's me because I'm
in the business for 50 years. That's so corrupt, it makes me sick. Let's face it, the U.S.
economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile,
While China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold, that's why I protected my savings

Power, politics and the people behind the headlines.
I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist and the host of the brand new podcast, Podforce One.

lawmakers, newsmakers and even the president of the United States.
These are the leaders shaping the future of America and the world.
Listen to Podforce One with me, Miranda Devine, every week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast.
You don't want to miss an episode.
Well, there are some people trying to do something about it.
There's an organization called USAFacts.org.
You may have heard of it's been in business in 2017.
It's fact-based.
We've watched them for years.
Okay?
And what they do is they go on television.
time, friend money, tens of millions, okay? And they report facts. Roll the tape.
Now I'm going to admit to being confused. Unauthorized immigrant assessments have been flat
for a number of years at 11 million people, while the number of people coming into the country
has increased. But our government needs to dig in and get all the required numbers to understand
that. Since many of the unauthorized immigrants are seeking asylum, let's start by looking at the
asylum system. Looking at asylum cases in 2022, about 500,000 people apply. While waiting for a court
hearing, these migrants can get work permits from the federal government after their asylum
application has been in process for 180 days. Here's the problem, though. This means many unauthorized
immigrants have court cases years in the future. At the end of 2023, there was a backlog of
2.5 million immigration court cases. No, all of the statutes are true. We checked them.
Joining us now from Seattle, Washington is the guy who runs his operation, USA Facts.
Steve Balmer, you may know him. He used to run Microsoft, owns the LA Clippers.
And we're pleased to have them on.
So obviously your goal is to try to get information to the American people.
Do you think you're getting through?
I think there are people with whom we are getting through.
We have a quarter of million newsletter readers.
We know we're getting millions of people visiting our site over the course of the last five, six years.
Very proud of that.
With that said, is the overall theme in the country.
country grounded in numbers? No. No. We're going to work on that. We're going to do our part
for that. But there's so much more work to do. All right. When you see in your organization
USA Facts, and we want everybody to go there and check it out for themselves, when you see
Trump, Biden, Harris, say an untruth. I'll give you an example. So Biden said when I took over
as president, the inflation rate with 9%.
And the truth was, it was 1.5%.
Do you take that on? Because if you do, then
the Biden people are going to label you a partisan, and if you do it to
Trump, they're going to label you a liberal. You see what I mean?
Yeah, no, I do. And we don't put ourselves in the explicit
position of fact-checking and reporting on the facts. We
do report the facts, we leave it to others to hold people to account. My experience is there's
two ways to construe things that are not helpful. Of course, it's not okay to take a number
that's incorrect and put it out there. The second way, and a little bit more insidious,
is for people to pick numbers to talk about, give them no context, and then let people think
they are much larger than they might be or much smaller than they might be if you look at in the
context of history or a broader perspective, if you will. Okay. So you're going to provide
not only the facts, but the context, which you did in your commercial about undocumented migrants
by saying, look, the backlog is now two and a half million people. You can't adjudicate that
within five years. You couldn't. It's impossible. But the Biden administration would
never tell you that, so I'm telling you that. When you do this, you are setting yourself up
against the corporate media, which now traffics in propaganda all day, every day. And I don't know
how much you know about me, but we've been doing that campaign now for years. And we call
them on it all the time. And they do it constantly. And because there are so many more liberal outlets
it's on television and conservative outlets, because conservatives do it too, all right,
that there's this wave, this wave of propaganda coming out, and Americans who don't pay close
attention, they're overwhelmed by it, in my opinion. They're overwhelmed by it. Do you see it
that way? I do. I think that we have reduced things to sound bites. People will just grab a single
number. I don't think that's at all helpful in the grand scheme of things. But whether it's
folks like you or many others, including individual citizens, here are the numbers. We're not
going to give any forecasts, any of that. We're just going to report what did happen. How can that
possibly be partisan? And then hopefully ground the discussion and debate in those numbers.
And if you want to use them to fact check, great.
If somebody else wants to use them to make their case about what should happen, great.
If a citizen wants to say, you know, I'm being, I'm not being spoken to honestly, so to speak, great.
Then they vote on that basis.
Okay.
You must have a tremendous research staff to make sure you get it right.
Right.
And you mean be paying these guys the money to me, to ferret out all is BS because it's not easy to do that, as you know.
Well, we only use government data.
So we start with over 70 government databases to do our work.
Now, you could say is the government data accurate?
I say we have professional people in our statistical agencies.
We choose to trust them.
occasionally government numbers don't match other government numbers we see that particularly when
numbers get rolled up from state governments and then we have to you know sort of pick which set
of numbers to represent and that's difficult it is and we footnote it we you know we let people know
what we've done we have no interest in hiding the football so to speak and so our core
data is government data.
And on top of that, we synthesize, we fact-check ourselves.
In fact, we're also looking at automated ways to double fact-check ourselves.
AI.
Wow.
We're not going to totally trust it.
But we're going to use everything.
Let me play devil's advocate here because in the crime area, the federal stats coming out of Quantico, Virginia with the FBI,
fall apart.
Fall apart.
You can't trust them anymore
because the cities
are not required to report.
So the FBI
isn't getting a full picture
because most of the crime in this country
generated in the cities,
in urban areas.
And a lot of cities are going
when I send you data.
So you can't report crime stats.
Meanwhile, both parties,
both Trump and Kamala run a while
with not. Crime went down.
crime is up, crime is it, and there's no stats to back it. That might be a good segment
for you to explain why there's no stats to back it. There are, let me, let me challenge
a little bit. Sure. Most cities do report, which is great, are there common definitions
across cities? No. Of crimes. On that, I agree with you. What is a violent crime can look different
across jurisdictions. I agree with you. That's exactly what's happening in the nation's largest
city, New York, where the violent crime is pleaded down to misdemeanors in the majority of cases.
You punch somebody in the face, Rick Moranis, the actor, and thousands of others, and the thug
is charged with disorderly conduct. It doesn't even make it into the FBI database.
So, anyway, I just want to bring it to your attention.
I know I'm too emotional about this.
Final question.
Go ahead.
There are imperfections.
I'm not disagreeing.
This is the biggest one, though.
Is to attribute.
Oh, I can give you, I can give you one.
I can give you ones that I think missing data.
I can give you, you know, the fact that we can't totally match up with the state's report.
And what the, so what the Census Bureau report.
and with the Bureau of Economic Analysis reports on state spending,
there are definitely things that don't hook up perfectly or improperly.
Yeah, I know.
But come from the states.
I'm willing to overlook.
Should the feds have more tools?
Right.
Should the feds have more tools?
I don't know.
Our next step, Bill, our next step is to actually go get the crime data from the local
jurisdictions and try to normalize it.
Wow.
I mean, it's a step.
beyond for us right now right but that's going to be hard it will be i'm not going to deny
that i'm not going to want to give you those stats you're going to have to break in in the middle
of the night and get them or the ai of people final question you're a very successful american
obviously in Microsoft and you've got the clippers and you're very wealthy in this country i
assume uh has done right by you you right you're a patriot you love
the country, you understand the opportunity it affords almost everybody. I am so furious about
the collapse of the media, the corruption in the corporate media. I can't tell you how furious I am.
But I don't think everybody else sees it the way I do because I've invested my life into this
profession. And I've watched it go down to a degree now where my operation, the most
successful independent news operation in the world, we have millions of people depending on me
to get them information they cannot get from the corporate media, NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, whatever
it means. They can't get the information because they're all ideologically driven.
Drives me nuts. Do you feel my pain?
it drives me nuts too
I would say
depth journalism
with numbers and context
I just think in today's world
people don't have the time or not given the time and resources
to dig in and do things
what I might call the right way
now I
in a way I don't fault anybody
because that's the requirements of the business
but that's the opportunity
we see. It's an opportunity, obviously, that you see is to try to do things with accuracy
and depth that is important that people might not otherwise get to.
You have to have it because we don't. We're not going to have a democracy. And that's true,
not the propaganda stuff. All right, the website we want everyone to go all over the world,
because we are all over the world now, is USAFacts. It's a dot org, right? USAFax.org.

Okay, let's go to Governor Walls.
Interesting story. Stolen Valor, which is a concept when a person doesn't tell the truth
about their military service to advance themselves, either make money or get power. It's called
stolen valor. Senator Blumenthal in Connecticut did it. He said he was a Vietnam vet and all this
other business and total bull. Borders of Connecticut didn't care. They reelected him. Blumenthal
got away with it.
We all walls. So walls, he was in the National Guard for a long time. He signed up at 17 years old. And he didn't go to Iraq with his unit. The furthest he got to a war zone was Italy. Okay? So he's campaigning for governor in 2018. Here's what he says. Roll.
And I'll tell you what I have been doing. I've been voting for common sense legislation that protects.
the Second Amendment, but we can do background checks.
We can do CDC research.
We can make sure we don't have reciprocal carry among states,
and we can make sure that those weapons of war that I carried in war
is the only place where those weapons were out.
So weapons of war that I carried in war.
Well, unless he was invading Tuscany,
you know,
it was just flat out untrue statement.
So now the Harris campus,
has to send out a this quote and making a case for why weapons of war should never be on our
streets or in our classrooms a governor misspoke he did handle weapons of war and believe strongly
that only military members trained to carry those only weapons should have access to them well
I've handled weapons of war and I've never been in the military but I handle every weapon
in various times of my career.
So what does that mean?
He misspoke.
He said, all right?
He said, okay, that I carried in war.
So again, it's up to you.
It's up to you.
Do I think it's going to be a major campaign thing?
No.
It's embarrassing.
Okay, Senator Vance.
So, as you know, we're trying to get him.
I spent far too much time this weekend on this.
I think we're going to get him.
They told me that he's going to show next week here.
Not easy.
But on Sunday, he was on ABC, CNN, and CBS.
predictably, the liberal commentators, all three interviewers were liberal.
Jonathan Carl, Margaret Brennan, Dana Bash.
And all three of them are Liffler.
But that's what the corporate media is.
So Vance goes on with CNN Bash, and here's what happened.
Okay, you've now asked me three questions about comments that I made three years ago.
I wonder what Kamala Harris thinks about the fact that she supported policies that opened the American Southern border.
I wonder what Kamala Harris thinks about the fact that she lied to the American people about Joe.
Okay, that was about the cat ladies.
De Bash wouldn't get off the cat ladies.
Is the cat lady thing important?
No.
Not important.
So Vance did a very smart thing.
He called her right out.
And she had nothing.
I'm interviewing you.
I'm not interviewing you.
I'm not interviewing come out.
Anybody watching that interview, got to go, you know,
we got big problems.
And you're spending mostly interview on cat,
ladies? This is what I'm talking about. This is corruption. And the people who run these news
organizations, they could put an end to it like that. And to bolster my case, CNN told Ms. Bash,
who you just saw, and Jake Tapper, you better be fair to Donald Trump. Okay? In the debate with Joe Biden,
you better be fair and they were
because if they had not been
they would have gotten fired
not hard to solve this problem
President Biden showed up on CBS yesterday
he doesn't want to tell the truth about what happened
but kind of hinted at it
a number of my Democratic colleagues
in the House and Senate
thought that I was going to hurt them in the races.
And I was concerned if I stayed in the race, that would be the topic.
You'd be interviewing me about why did Nancy Pelosi say, why did someone?
And I thought it would be a real distraction.
Ah, Nancy Pelosi, ah, the Queen of Mean.
They used to call Leona Helmsley, that.
She's the new Queen of Meek.
So two weeks after the debate, here's one.
I said. Go. All right. So Pelosi, like Schumer, Senate Majority Leader, they know that Biden can't
be Trump. But they're waffling around. They don't say it. They will eventually. So I always know
what's going on behind the scenes. And Biden knew too, but Biden thought that he and Jill
could tough it out. All right. But then Barack Obama got involved. That was
Okay, the astronauts, you're following this story?
I'm a little worried here, but not a lot worried.
So astronauts Barry Wilmore, 60 years old,
Sinita Williams, 58 years old.
They're on a mission on a Boeing Starliner, okay?
And the Starliner broke down.
They can't get back.
It was supposed to be an eight-day mission.
and the mission was screwed up because of technical problems.
Thank you, Boeing.
So the two of them got to the International Space Station where there are four Americans and three Russians,
and now instead of nine, instead of seven, there are nine.
Okay, so they're at the space station.
Then there's 68 days.
So when they were supposed to be out eight, they're at the space station 68.
So NASA still doesn't know how to get them now, back to Earth.
They'll get them back, but they're going to make an announcement any time
about how NASA is going to get these two back.
Boeing, boy.
Iran.
Now, there's a lot of hysteria about Iran's going to attack Israel, Iran's going to do this, Iran's going to do that.
I don't report that stuff.
I say
I hope it doesn't happen
obviously that's trite
everybody hopes it doesn't happen
well not everybody
and I say that it would be bad for Iran
if it does
bad for Iran
not going to be great for Israel or USA
but Iran is going to take it
okay
I don't think the mollins are that stupid
but I could be very wrong here
warships U.S. going
close by
We got all our resources in the Middle East pointed at Iran right now.
Israel capacity, knock out their ports in a day.
And they'll go after the nuke reactors, too.
The Israelis will.
That adds up to Iran, better be careful here.
But I'm not reporting rumors.
We're on it.
We're watching it.
Smart life.
Small claims court.
I cannot tell you how many concierge members.
Remember, our concierge program on bill o'Reilly.com, you get a private email directly to me, totally confidential. No one knows.
But I would say a good 20% of the letters that I received from our concierge members are I got screwed, either by a company or another person or they stole my money, whatever.
the only resolution to that short of hiring a very expensive attorney to sue them in regular court
is small claims court and there you can get some justice not everywhere but in a lot of places
so small claims court chances are your county has one or two if it doesn't the adjacent county
will so you go in there and you can do all this online you say i want to file a small a small
claims action against Mori over here, okay, because Mori wrecked my car and all of that.
Okay, online, you fill out the complaint, okay, and it costs 10, 20 bucks in New York State,
probably less where you are, nothing.
Fill it out, you follow directions, a small court gives you all online, don't have to go there.
You send it in.
All right, but here's a little bit of difficulty.
You have to send the complaint to the person you're suing, Mori.
Mori has to get a copy.
And then you have to send proof of that into the small claim system.
The only way to do that is to hire a process server.
And any attorney in the world can tell you how to do that.
It's easy.
But you've got to pay them a couple hundred bucks.
And they show up with Mori's house.
They give Mori the process claim.
Boom.
And then you go.
Then you go.
Then you go into court, you present your case,
Mori presents his, the judge said, boom, boom, boom.
That's how you get justice in America.
That's it.
Now, most of the small claims actions,
when Mori gets the complaint handed to him by a process server,
Mori will fold.
Moy doesn't want to have to go to small claims court.
And if Mori's a bad guy,
and don't do this unless you have all the goods,
all the evidence, then Mori knows he's going to lose.
So you'll probably get a settlement.
Smart life.
That's one of the best tips I have ever given you.
Stay in history of August 12, 1990.
Sue, the largest, most complete T-Rex skeleton found in South Dakota.
All right, about 130 miles east of Rapid City, Faith, South Dakota.
A woman named Sue Hendrickson, who was a fossil collector, found it,
and it was on some land owned by a guy, just a regular guy, Maurice Williams.
Right, there's Sue.
So, Sue paid Maurice $5,000, and Sue took all the bones, okay, off the land.
And this was under the supervision of the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research.
all right so sue knew where to go what to do of course immediately after this was reported by the press
lawsuits went crazy now what happened was if you want to read the lawsuits you can do it i'm not going to
report them but the skeleton of the t-resk wound up in the field museum in chicago okay and it was
purchased by that museum for $8 million.
So Maurice got $5,000.
He sold it for $8 million, but then Maurice won his legal case.
Maurice got about $7 million.
So you can see the T-Rex there at the Field Museum in Chicago.
Very impressive.
Best skeleton ever find ever.
And they learned about, I'm examining skeletons,
T-Rex's had an incredible sense of smell.
And remember, there weren't deodorants back then, so if you were running around, no.
The dinosaurs and human beings didn't, there wasn't any interlap.
And then, and the dinosaurs were smart.
It was smart.
Okay, right back with the final thought on the Olympics.
So here's the final thought.
It's a positive one.
I was very proud of the U.S. Olympic team.
And the final ceremonies were excellent.
Everything was excellent.
So the USA won the medal count, 126.
Next was China 91, next was Japan, came in third, 45.
And our athletes were magnificent, on and off.
No crazy political stuff at all.
And you've got to know that they're conservative athletes, liberal athletes, all of that.
No women's soccer stuff.
And the women's soccer team in the Olympics was great.
Beat the French.
I beat everybody.
And the women's basketball was beat up French by one point.
Anyway, there wasn't any nonsense at all.
No power of people.
None of that.
I was so good.
And I'm congratulating Macron.
What a magnificent job the French authorities did.
I thought there could be trouble there.
And it started out.
There was a little on the trains.
But boy, those French security services really stepped up.
Because that is a big terror destination, Paris.
So, huge success on every front.
Congratulations to the U.S. team.
You know, I was teared up here when they're carrying the flags and the NBA team, the men's basketball.
Stephen Curry.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Okay.
Thank you for watching and listening to the News.
We'll see tomorrow.
