So Barr was basically on the defensive because the Washington Post wrote an article yesterday
that said that Robert Mueller, his special counsel, objected to the way the attorney general
categorized the Mueller report.
You remember the Mueller report, 482 pages, it went to Barr first.
Barr gave a summary to the nation, and this article says that Mueller,
was unhappy with Barr's summary.
So the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee went wild.
But when you read the article, there are two things that stand out.
This is the Washington Post article.
Number one, the article, it was a leak.
It was leaked to the Washington Post by somebody on Mueller's team.
According to people familiar with the discussion,
that would have to be somebody on Mueller's team.
It was a leak.
And it was a leak to make Attorney General Barr look at.
But in the middle of the article, toward the end, the key paragraph is stated.
Quote, when Barr pressed Mueller and whether he thought Barr's memo to Congress was inaccurate,
Mueller said he did not, but felt that the media coverage of it was misinterpreting the investigation.
Unquote.
The media interpreted.
So Mueller was worried about the media and his own reputation in Washington,
where he lives and goes to cocktail party.
I wasn't worried about Barr
saying something that wasn't true
because now we have the full Mueller report
and you can see for yourself what's true and what isn't true.
Okay, so the reason this is happening,
the reason these hearings are happening
and this story goes on and on and on and on
is because the Democratic Party has decided
to keep the Mueller situation alive
until the 2020 vote.
And they're going to do whatever
they can to keep this story a lot. Now, Attorney General Barr knows this. I don't know whether President
Trump knows it or not, but the DNC has issued very clear guidelines to all Democrats in Washington.
Keep it going. Keep it going. No matter what's true, what isn't true. Just keep it going. Now,
it's possible Mueller might come in and contradict the Attorney General. That's possible.
possible. I don't think that's going to happen. I don't think the Attorney General of the United
States is going to lie under oath. We know that phone call did take place, but it's a crazy
world. Quick break, right back with the story I mentioned to you yesterday in Virginia, but first
this announced. Recently, I had a great conversation with the CEO of the Hartford Gold Group
Sanford Man. He's a true entrepreneur. I like those kind of guys, looking to provide customers
with the best possible experience when they invest in physical gold and silver.

Tom O'Reilly sent you to get the free gift.
Judge Richard Moore has ruled that statues
of Robert Lee and Stonewall Jackson
cannot be removed by law
because they pay homage to the Civil War
and war memorials statues in the Commonwealth of Virginia
cannot be removed.
are vandalized or anything up against the law.
Now, that knocks down the movement to get them those statues out.
Now, it also impacts Donald Trump, who got into trouble when he said there were good people on both sides in Charlottesville when he was talking about the controversy over the statute.
I write about this in the upcoming book, and you'll, I think you're going to like this chapter because I take you far beyond what's been reported.
in the Charlottesville arena.
But you'll have to wait until September for that.
Let's bring in Dr. Alan Schneider.
He teaches history at Southeastern University.
So Trump says
Lee was a great general
and then automatically CNN
and NBC News say, well, you're a racist
for saying that.
Isn't that just absurd?
Yes, that's very absurd
because being a great general
has nothing to do with what you believe about race.
You have to be able
separate that out how did he conduct himself what were his strategies etc and you know you can you
can be a great general and believe in some wrong things you can be a great you can be a very poor
general and believe in some good things so you have to be able to divide that appropriately
and understand what was actually being said so when this happened an educated population
would all back don't trump wouldn't it
population is a kind of a figment of imagination, I believe.
All right, all right, because I'm getting really tired of it, Professor.
I don't know if I do.
This isn't a pro-Trump show.
It's not an anti-Trump show.
But, you know, there comes a point where the racist stuff and, you know, he's being called
anti-Semitic when there hasn't been a president as friendly to Israel in my lifetime,
as Donald Trump is.
It gets to be, you know, when does the population start going?
to the far left, but no.
Do you think that'll ever happen?
I don't know.
We just, you'd have to get rid of agendas,
and I don't think anybody's ever going to get rid of an agenda.
How about in your classroom?
In my classroom?
Yeah, do the urchins in your classroom,
do they understand what the hatred that's going on here
has overrun all rationality?
In my classroom, they do, yes.
Because we do, we do talk about that, yes.
All right, we appreciate you talking to us today about history.
Thank you very much.

the word of the day is not be meretrician. M-E-E-R-I-C-I-O-U-S. Quick break, right back with the
final thought on rich people. Go. If you are over the age of 50, I have an important message
for you, there's a true alternative to AARP, the liberal retirement group, that lobbies in favor
of progressive policies. For less than $20 a year, an AMAC membership gives you members-only
pricing on car insurance, roadside assistance, discounts on hotels and travel, cell phone
plans, discount dental plans, and on and on and on. So please join more than one million
fellow Americans right now at amac.us. That's amac.us. And yes, I am a member, visit amac.
dot us, amac.com.us. Amac.us. So what I want to do is my final thought is on money.
I never understood this until I had money. I never worked for money. I always took a job that I
thought would be interesting, but I would like it. Okay? Money, I want to be paid fairly.
but it wasn't my motivator
but once I got lucky enough
I worked hard but I was lucky
you know to get a position with a man a lot of money
then a lot of people
tried to do bad things to me
to get it and I had to surround myself
with an army of lawyers and accountants
and bodyguards and everything else
wealthy people are under siege
that's why in the Bible it is harder
for a rich man
to pass through the eye of a needle
than to gain the kingdom of heaven.
Now, the eye of the needle isn't a needle
in the thread.
Eye of the needle is a gate in Jerusalem,
a very, very tiny, tiny gate
that a man couldn't get through.
Okay, you know that?
But the adage is the same.
If you have money, money takes people over.
Okay.
But in a capitalist system that we have,
if you make money,
you're entitled to keep some of it.
Nobody is allowed to steal it from you.
And that includes the federal government and the state government.
Capitalism means you can go to the top.
You can be Gates, a billionaire.
Or you can crap out.
That's the system.
And once you've made it, and once you have it,
it's not right for somebody to come in and take it away from you.
If you die or anything else, it's wrong.
That's my final thought. You may disagree. We want to hear from you.
And we'll see you again tomorrow.
