It's all coming up, and Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. First, the president said Iran is doing a very poor job, dishonorable, some would say, of allowing oil to go through the strait of her.
Starting point is 00:01:04 moves. This is not the agreement we have. When asked about Iran charging a toll, the president said they better not be, and if they are, they better stop now. As they've been collecting fees, Britain, Japan, a couple of European countries, as well as the Persian Gulf states of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, which shares control of the strait with Iran, have all spoken out against Iran charging a toll. Under international maritime rules, coastal nations have sovereignty over waters extending 12 nautical miles, which is about 14 miles, from their shores, where they may board or inspect vessels. And the Strait of Hormuz lies within waters claimed by both Iran and Oman.
Starting point is 00:01:43 And the International Maritime Organization said that imposing a toll on the strait was at a dangerous precedent and said that the law of the sea guarantees transit passage through international straits and does not permit coastal states to charge tolls like this. In a rare solo address, the first lady made a surprise statement, denying unspecified allegations about her and Jeffrey Epstein. She said the lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today. The individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility, and respect. She said fake images and statements about Epstein and me have been circulating on social media for years now. Be cautious about what you believe. These images
Starting point is 00:02:22 and stories are completely false. I was never involved in any capacity. I was not a participant was never on Epstein's plane and never visited his private island. The Virginia State Police posted on Twitter that there are no plans to go door to door and confiscate guns. This is in light of SB 749, which targets so-called assault weapons. It passed, and it's about to be signed. It has a grandfather clause in it, allowing current gun owners of certain guns to keep them, but it caused enough concern that the Virginia State Police Superintendent wrote that the police works every day. to enhance safety and protect civil liberties.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Those liberties were not granted by government and will not be impeded by government. Not now, not ever. Tonight's the night, pray for our astronauts. Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Friday during World War II, the United States military censored press reports coming back from the front. That, of course, is a violation of the First Amendment, but the Roosevelt administration didn't really care, and reporters could be prosecuted for failing to submit articles to the military censors. Today, we have the total opposite, live-time coverage of a battlefield, and rank enemy
Starting point is 00:05:12 propaganda being reported as fact by some American journalists. Example, Iran does not control shipping in Hormuz, it attacks vessels with drones. That panics insurance companies who are telling shipping operations that they will not be reimbursed for any damage in Hormuz. Now, the U.S. military could take control of the waterway there any time it wants, but that would require close quarter combat, something the American people do not want to happen. That is a lucky break for Iran. The fact that the media activity distributes Iranian propaganda is an absolute scandal, perhaps a new low in the history of journalism. Iran is the enemy. Someone tell the television news industry. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me.

Starting point is 00:06:46 another 50 days or so. Then he'd have to go up to the hill. And the Trump administration believes this whole thing will be over by that. Who knows? That's what they believe. Julie, North Korea's nuclear weapons, how's the world prevented them from using nukes? China's in charge of that. And the North Koreans don't have a real sophisticated delivery system. So you see all these tests and the rockets they have just kind of dunk into the Pacific. So it's not like they're on the edge of attacking anyone there. Don on the message board, Don is a concierge premium member, and he gets to chat with all the other concierge. Premium members are lots of fun.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Hope you sign up. Bill O'Reilly.com has it. But if you start a war, then you fight with everything you have. You don't bomb for a few days and then want to make a deal. I think President Trump is going about this the wrong way. All right, but I'm out Monday morning quarterbacking, and I don't think that's right. Randall, same thing on the message board. Painful to think about there.
Starting point is 00:08:13 It's painful to think about what's painful to think about what's, seems to be the same type of fanatical leadership in Iran as Japan had in the 1930s and 40s.
