Bill O'Reilly here Wednesday, April 15th, 2020. You are listening to the O'Reilly Update. Here's what's happening today in America. The president cuts funding for the World Health Organization. Democrats push for illegal immigrants to get virus stimulus checks. The annual deficit heads toward $4 trillion. Barack Obama finally endorses Joe Biden. The
L.A. Times and other papers, in trouble. Also ahead, how the pandemic is affecting your money.
But first, President Trump slashing U.S. funding for the World Health Organization, that's attached
to the U.N. Mr. Trump telling reporters his administration will suspend payments to the group,
saying doctors there, quote, put political correctness over life-saving measures. The USA is the biggest
benefactor to the WHO, paying roughly $450 million per year, the World Health Organization did not
criticize China for not telling the truth about the pandemic. Democrats in the House demanding
illegal immigrants get federal stimulus cash. The current legislation gives up to $1,200 to
those Americans with Social Security numbers. But that includes immigrants with
valid visas, not millions of undocumented workers. So how would undocumented people be assessed
if they don't file tax returns? No answer to that question. The annual deficit now
forecasted to top $4 trillion just this year. That's nearly three times a previous record of $1.4 trillion
back in 2009. The spending spree started in February when the feds began pumping hundreds of
billions of dollars to prevent a stock meltdown. Now, the USA is printing dollars at a record rate.
Barack Obama officially backing Joe Biden's bid for the White House, the endorsement ensures
a former vice president will be nominated later this summer unless there are new developments.
Mr. Obama calling his endorsement, quote,
One of the best decisions he's ever made.
But how does he know?
The Los Angeles time placing workers on temporary leave due to the pandemic.
The paper saying ad revenue has been nearly eliminated.
The furloughs began April 19th, with other employees taking 15% pay cuts.
Similar measures have already been announced at other papers and magazines as America's print industry collapses.
In a moment, is your money collapse?
Right back. It's shocking that your home can be stolen easily. Deborah learned that brutal lesson when thieves found her home's title online. They then forged the document to appear she sold her house, but she didn't. The criminals borrowed thousands using Deborah's home equity. She didn't even know she was a victim until foreclosure and eviction notices arrived. She spent a fortune trying to get her home back.
The FBI now calls home title fraud one of the fastest growing crimes,
but you can avoid a possible nightmare by protecting your home with home title lock.
Neither your homeowner's insurance nor your bank protects you.
For pennies a day, home title lock will.
Find out if you're already a victim of home title fraud.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day, your money and the pandemic.
It's obviously a bleak situation.
The stock market is off about 20% since the virus hit us in February.
Retirement funds getting hammered.
College funds disappearing. Your personal financial security in jeopardy.
The hardest hit industries are energy down 47%. Price of oil is now $22 a barrel.
Gas prices per gallon expected to hit $1 in certain parts of the country.
shares at Exxon down 38% in the past 30 days.
Financial services off 33%.
Banks hurt by falling interest rates with loan payments, a major source of income.
Congressional stimulus package aims to stabilize banks,
but defaults on mortgages and car loans are inevitable.
Manufacturing, down 32%.
Goods from companies like Caterpillar, deer, car manufacturers, off 11% since January.
Auto production, mostly suspended during the national shutdown.
The airline industry, a major disaster.
U.S.-based airlines will likely need $50 billion each in emergency support to even survive the
pandemic. Daily air travel down 95% since the same period last year. The friendly skies are empty.
On the job, not good. A third of millennials have been fired for a load or put on temporary
leave. Hardest states are the same as those the highest number of infections, New York, New Jersey,
Massachusetts, and California. Three hundred thousand retail workers,
already laid off at places like Macy's, the Gap, Coles, and others.
18 million Americans have filed for unemployment since March.
Economists predict unemployment could rise to 20%.
13 million Americans are employed in the U.S. food industry, but there is no food industry
as the restaurants are closed.
The gig industry, which is cash, completely collapsed.
So what do you do?
well you've got to assess your expenses then if you have a major bill or bills that you can't pay
you write promissory notes you just don't not pay them you contact the people to whom you owe
money and say i'll pay it but i can't pay it now then to survive day to day you barter
That means if you can do something in return for something, you make the deal with your neighbors
or even with businesses.
So people have skills.
And the barter economy is a way to avoid draining your cash.
Be smart.
Check it all out.
I'm Bill O'Reilly and I approve that message by actually writing it.

you something you might not know. With the world on lockdown, more folks are turning to the internet
for entertainment. Streaming services report a 33% increase in viewership. But one Netflix documentary series
is leading the pack. Tiger King, Murder Mayhem and Madness, 34 million viewers in 10 days. It's the number
one show four weeks running, so popular Netflix quickly capitalized by releasing an additional
episode to satisfy watchers. Now, if you're not familiar with this circus, Tiger King tells a story
of Joe Exotic, owner and operator of a roadside animal park in Winniewood, Oklahoma,
about 16 acres of land, 200 big cats.
Joe is a gun-toting, country-singing gay polygamist who gets wrapped up in a murder for a higher
plot that sends him to prison for 22 years. In a spare time, Joe wants to be governor of
Oklahoma and nearly 1,000 Americans are supporting that. It is a cultural phenomenon, this Tiger King
that's crossing over into retail. eBay reporting a 300% jump in searches for the phrase Tiger
King. Sales of Tiger-related merchandise have increased more than 50% in two weeks. We can chalk up the
success of the program to right place, right time, with the whole world looking for a respite from the
COVID coverage, Netflix delivers a bizarre murder mystery, starring one of the strangest characters
in TV history. Tiger King is helping distract Americans from the carnage they see on the
nightly news, a form of escapism, of course, from the pandemic. It's no surprise that alcohol
sales are up 50 percent, pot more than 200 percent in legalized places, indicating some might
need substance to get through the tiger cane.
And if you think things couldn't get any stranger, you can actually see me in the series.
Footage of yours truly makes a brief appearance in the first episode, but I didn't consent to
that.
They just took old news footage.
It's a little grainy.
I should sue back after this.
