Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It is Tuesday, April 15th. Happy Tax Day. Here's what's happening today in America.
Buckele to the White House, fire damage in the mansion, invidia in America, and Blue Origin in space.
It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day, but first the president of El Salvador joined
Trump in the White House yesterday. He said he's very eager to help fight crime and terrorism
at our border. Bukele said, we know that you have a crime problem and a terrorism problem that
you need help with. And we're a small country. But if we can help, we will do it. He told Trump,
what you're doing with the border is remarkable. Dropped what, 95%? It's incredible. Trump said this
morning, 99%. 99.1% to be exact. Buckele asked why those figures are not shared far and wide by
the mainstream media.
And Trump said, well, they get them.
But the fake news, you know, like CNN over here, doesn't want to put them out.
They don't like putting out good numbers because I think they hate our country, actually.
It's shame.
You're right.
Isn't that a great question?
Why don't they put out the numbers?
Dana Bash later said CNN does not hate America.
Yesterday we reported on the arson attack at the governor of Pennsylvania's house.
We now have pictures from inside the house, and it was a lot of damage.
The fire spread quite a bit.
charged chandelier entirely black rooms melted and broken tables burned up grand piano
took 30 minutes to get the fire under control apparently there's never been a fire drill at
the governor's mansion before the door of the main dining room was closed which helped keep the fire
from spreading into the living quarters the mother of the arsonist told cbs news that she reached out
to four different police departments but couldn't get anyone to help before the fire
unclear what she actually told the police she said her son is mentally ill and off his meds he later
told police that if he found Shapiro inside the house, he would have beaten him with a hammer.
NVIDIA has committed to build an AI supercomputer plant in Texas, up to $500 billion.
NVIDIA commissioned over a million square feet of manufacturing space in Arizona and Texas
to build and test its Blackwell chips and AI supercomputers.
This is the first time that Vivida will be producing its AI technology entirely within
the United States.
NVIDIA's Blackwell chips have already started production at TSM's chip plants in Phoenix,
but the company is also constructing supercomputer manufacturing plants in partnership with Foxconn
in Houston and Winstrand in Dallas.
Mass production of these facilities is expected to ramp up in just the next 12 to 15 months.
Jeff Bezos's space company, Blue Origin, launched a space flight with four minutes of zero gravity,
11 minutes total, the whole thing, at Katie Perry, his wife, Lauren Sanchez, and Gail King,
among others on board. This is the 11th suborbital crew from Bezos's Blue Origin.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Tuesday, there's a lot of keeping the faith going on.
Holy Week Passover, the U.S. economy.
So where are you on the faith front?
Americans are not nearly as involved with religion as they were, say, 50 years ago.
The fastest-rising belief system among young adults is atheism, and weekly public worship has declined significantly.
We now live in a secular country where materialism dominates the culture.
The pursuit of Ware's mind has replaced out of many one.
That means personal sacrifice and loyalty to God and country is of Africa.
Very tough to reach greater good territory when it's every citizen for his or herself.
Yet the traditional sideposts remain, even if spring break has replaced Easter vacation.
Churches, synagogues, mosques, beckon.
But their appeal in a secular society is diminished, not to mention being away from the cell phone,
for an hour or more.
Finally, faith in the country, also on the decline.
As the media pumps out cynicism night after night,
many citizens simply disengage.
Why should we bother with such a corrupt system,
that kind of thing?
So all of this is not good, in my opinion,
and it's something to ponder this spiritual week.
I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it.

Name in town, if you wish to opine.
Let's go to the mail.
We got Linda Clang in Point Lookout, New York.
Hey, Bill, I'm confused.
Is there presently a 10% across-the-board tariff happening?
I appreciate the pause in the tariffs.
but want to know why there are any at all.
Just is what I told Boling, Linda.
The VAT tax jacks up the price of all American goods going into Europe.
It's not a tariff, but anybody buying U.S. products got to pay that tax.
So what Trump has done is put a 10% on everybody else so we don't get hosed in the tax realm.
We got Frank, concierge member.
Trump's terrorist problems having yet been resolved, his battle with China could cause a lot more losses in the stock market.
I don't trust his financial advisors like Peter Navarro.
Hey, nothing we can do about it.
He's a president, right?
I'm not telling you any of these guys are geniuses, I mean, but he's the president.
Ruth, I've been concerned a long time of the amount of land, real estate, and debt China owes in the U.S.
How much is it?
How do I know?
China's not showing me it's books.
Trying to buy stuff through companies in America.
They're not going to tell you what they have.
It's a totalitarian regime.
Mike Clark, Baldwin, New York,
I'm trying to understand why China,
communist country, needs U.S. dollars
to finance its military buildup.
We will have this tomorrow in the Talking Points memo.
I'm just going to give you a preview, Mike.
So we had a guest on last week,
an expert in Chinese trade said China is not using the vast amount of money it takes out of the
U.S. every year for its military. That is not true. And tomorrow you'll see it. All right. So pretty
interesting. In a moment, something you might not know.

you might not know. 27 years ago today, one of the most evil dictators of all time died in Cambodia.
His communist regime directly caused a death of nearly half the entire country.
Here is the sordid story of Paul Pott.
Born in 1925 in a rural village, 100 miles north of the Cambodian capital, Panampin.
Pot moved to Paris in 1949, where he became obsessed with the writings of Karl Marx.
When he returned to Cambodia in 1953, the country was,
was revolting against the French colonial authorities.
Pol Pot joined a group of rebels called the Khmer Rouge.
After a bloody civil war, the communist seized control of the capital on April 17, 1975.
500,000 Cambodians died in that civil war, but the worst was yet to come.
After seizing power, Pol Pot forced millions of citizens into so-called
re-education camps. Those who refused to go were murdered. Prisoners were taken to so-called
killing fields and executed sometimes with machetes. Under Paul Pot, the Cambodian state
controlled every aspect of life. Money, private property, books, religion, all banned. Children were
taken from their parents, forced into the military at the age of 12.
Pol Potat ruled Cambodia for five years.
Scirmishes with the Vietnamese army eventually forced the dictator back into the jungle.
He was captured in 1997, placed under house arrest, where he died peacefully in his sleep at age 72.
And here's something else you might not know.
Pulpott's genocide was one of the most catastrophic events in human history.
Out of a total population of 7 million, nearly 4 million Cambodians were killed in war, famine, and mass murder orchestrated by the communist government under the control of Pol Pot.
