Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly Update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It's Friday. April 18th, 2025. Here's this happening today in America.
denied entry, Florida State shooting.
Supreme Court agrees to take it,
and more like astronauts.
It's all coming out, then Bill is going to appear
with your message of the day.
But first, the senator from Maryland,
Chris Van Hollen said he was denied entry
into the El Salvador prison
to check on the well-being of the Maryland father.
There was also an MS-13 gang member,
Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Obviously, he was denied entry.
The Democrat senator said at a news conference
that his car was stopped by soldiers
at a checkpoint, three kilometers,
from the terrorism confinement center.
Meanwhile, Congressman Sri Tenadar from Michigan said the administration's actions
warrant an impeachment for not abiding by a Supreme Court order.
That would be clear, the order from the Supreme Court agreed with a lower court that the
administration must facilitate Abrago Garcia's return, but the court did not uphold the lower
court's order to effectuate his return.
Facilitate and effectuate are two very different things.
Speaking of the Supreme Court, they have agreed to hear a case to end birthright citizenship.
This case is about interpreting the 14th Amendment, which was written right after the Civil War,
and in my opinion was clearly about the children of slaves, not illegal immigrants.
This is in response to Trump's executive order that ends the anchor baby policy
where 250,000 anchor babies are given citizenship every year.
That's 250,000 babies born to illegal alien parents.
Years later, those children can sponsor their illegal alien parents and foreign relatives
for green cards.
Tom Holman said, I think the Supreme Court finally needs to answer that question.
Now, I'm not a lawyer, but I can read.
No one can ever predict a Supreme Court decision.
There was a mass shooting at Florida State University's campus in Tallahassee.
What's reported so far, the murderer fired 15 rounds.
He reportedly is the son of a local sheriff deputy.
Two people were killed, six injured.
Police believe he was the only shooter involved.
Gail King and Katie Perry have demanded to be known as astronauts
because of their four-minute sensation of weightlessness.
But apparently they weren't in a place where there actually was no gravity.
It's just that the force of dropping made them feel weightless for a while.
Well, the Transportation Secretary, Sean Duffy, has weighed in.
He said that crew members who travel into space must have demonstrated activities during the flight
that were essential to public safety or contributed to human space flight safety.
The crew who flew to space this weekend on an automated flight by Blue Origin were brave and glam,
but you cannot identify as an astronaut.
They do not meet the FAA astronaut criteria.

supporting a political party, which I am not in business to do, I simply cannot believe Democrats object to
downsizing the federal government. With 36 trillion in debt, you would think every single American
would support spending reform. But no, Elon Musk, now a progressive left whipping boy for exposing
government waste. The U.S. AID sent out hundreds of millions of dollars to insane foreign
projects with absolutely no oversight on how the U.S. money was being spent. That should be a scandal.
Yet the left deplores the expose.
In addition, the incredibly bloated Department of Education is being downsized, but that's not being applauded by many Democrats, despite the fact that American students are underperforming when compared with kids in the rest of the world.
So the left seems to be saying, yes, let's have more of that.
What's really going on here?
two things first liberal americans love big government except the pentagon second if president
trump wants to do it we must oppose it it has to be bad because he's bad that is the
progressive view to me that's incredibly dumb opposition's fine if you have a better solution
Remember, Joe Biden was a Democratic solution for four years running.
How did that work out?
I'm Bill O'Reilly.

Come. Keep going, Bill. Americans need to be educated about where things are coming from. Did you know it is extremely difficult to buy a ball cap not made in China? Not for us. We sell thousands, Janet. Not woke ball caps. They're not made in China. My order is we don't buy Chinese stuff at all. Well, you want a nice ball cap says not woke, bill o'Reilly.com.
Amman. There's little opportunity to buy American because our elected elites and our corporate executives sent American jobs abroad, in particular to China.
We were given the cheap stuff, and we asked for more. Okay, but now it's different.
Now we got an active enemy over there. So you make your decision on what to buy.
Rich Zine, Los Angeles.
Bud Light lost half the market share following the 23 boycott may never recover.
Now the number one beer in America is Modelo made exclusively in Mexico.
That is ironic.
But I'm not boycotting stuff from Mexico.
I don't, I'm not doing that because I think that's going to work out in Canada too.
But China is different.
Jay Duke, Dallas, Texas, who knew that Harvard University had a $53 billion endowment.
I did, but that's my job.
Why then would they get several billion dollars a year given to them from the government because of research?
Harvard does a lot of really good research and then government pays for that.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might, not know.
It's Good Friday.
And here's a little history.
Jesus of Nazareth was born sometime between 6 and 4 BC in Bethlehem, Judea, which is now in Israel.
He was killed on April 3rd, 33 AD, outside of Jerusalem.
Today, there are 2.4 billion Christians around the world, and Jesus is the most famous
person who ever lived.
How did that happen?
Some of you might know that I wrote the history book, Killing Jesus.
No religion in it.
It's all about the Nazarene and what actually happened during his short lifetime.
We do not use the Gospels as sort of.
material. My co-author Martin Dugard traveled to Israel. The government there let us look into
the archives and find out actual things that happened surrounding the death of Jesus.
We then researched in Italy. Emperor Tiberius was in power back then, and the Romans kept
very detailed records. Here is what we know to be true. The Nazareth,
Nazarene was born to Joseph and Mary. Herod wanted to kill him because Herod thought he was
a threat. It had been written in scripture that a Messiah would be born in Judea. Mary,
Joseph, and baby Jesus fled to Eastern Egypt and hid out for a while before returning to Nazareth,
where Jesus became a stone cutter.
Many people believe he was a carpenter, but that's not true.
There were no trees.
Everything was made of stone.
In short order, Jesus captured the attention of thousands of people,
and here is a startling fact.
They could not hear him.
He didn't have a microphone.
They could see him, but they couldn't hear him.
But thousands flocked to his mission.
Why?
We believe it was because of the healings.
