Bill O'Reilly here, you are listening to the weekend edition of the O'Reilly Update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thanks, Bill. You're listening to the weekend edition of the O'Reilly Update.
Here's what's happening this week in America.
Which tyrants running out of jet fuel?
Arch approved and Thomas speaks.
That's all coming up.
And Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, the Pope said yesterday that the world is being ravaged by a handful of tyrants
who spend billions on war.
He did not mention our president by name.
He said, woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military,
economic and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.
He said this while in Cameroon.
He said they turn a blind eye to the fact that billions of dollars are spent on killing
and devastation, yet the resources needed for healing, education, and restoration are nowhere to be
found.
The president was asked, Iran is going to execute four more protesters, including the first
woman protester.
What do you tell Iran?
And the president said, go tell that to the Pope.
The head of the International Energy Agency said that Europe has maybe six weeks or so,
remaining of jet fuel supplies.
He said the war in Iran is the largest energy crisis we've ever faced.
He said in the past there was a group called dire straits.
Well, it's a dire strait now.
And it's going to have major implications for the global economy.
And the longer goes, the worse it will be for the economic growth and inflation around the world.
A federal judge for some reason said the security related work underneath the White House ballroom may continue,
but the above ground work needs congressional authorization.
The president responded, this highly political judge and his illegal overreach is out of control and costing our nation greatly.
Meanwhile, the president's arch at the National Mall near the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery, it's 250 feet tall, taller than France's arc to triumph.
And the Commission of Fine Arts gave its initial approval to move forward.
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas delivered a speech against progressivism.
He described it as an existential threat to America and the principles that founded America
250 years ago.
At this speech at the University of Texas, the Supreme Court Justice says progressivism
seeks to replace the basic premise of the Declaration of Independence and hence our form of
government.
He said progressivism holds that our rights and our dignities come not from God, but from
government.
It requires of the people of subservience and weakness incompatible with the Constitution
premised on the transcendent origin of our rights.
Justice Thomas is the fourth longest serving justice, 34 years.
The longest is 36 years, but the makeup of the Senate after this midterm is going to have major
Supreme Court implications.

the day. President Trump is facing his legacy, Iran. If the
mullah surrender, he achieves a major historical victory. If the USA and the world slides into recession
and inflation, Mr. Trump would be hammered by his critics and history will turn on him.
The odds are in the president's favor because the internal situation inside Iran is weak.
And the mullahs can hold out, but not much long.
If President Trump achieved victory, there will be held to pay for NATO.
He will make Europe suffer economically for its cowardice.
NATO is hapless.
Putin will take advantage of that.
Now, President Trump is unique.
No other modern leader would have attacked Iran.
Too much downside.
Can you imagine Kamala Harris dealing with this?
Never happened. All Americans should be rooting against evil. Even if you don't like Mr. Trump,
he's on the side of the angels trying to neutralize mullahs who will kill infidels in a heartbeat.
Let's hope Mr. Trump just doesn't dress up like an angel. That would not be helpful.

other members on the message board. The Photoshop of President Trump appearing as Jesus only makes matters
worse. Why he even pass it along is beyond any comprehension. To me, he doesn't act like a serious
person when he does things like this. I don't think that helped him. Or America, I'm going to agree.
I'm giving him a little bit of pass because the man's exhausted. That pass along came at 4 a.m.
if you noticed when it came out of the social media.
Peter is a concierge member.

If you are able to moderate or mediate a debate between these two hugely influential heads of state
and show us the give and take, that would be remarkably healing to all.
It would not be a debate.
that would be never happen.
Both men are way above that.
It would be a discussion.
What do you think your job is?
What do you think your job is in a nice way?
That is my vision.
Delenda, in my opinion, President Trump would be wise to take a play out of George W. Bush's book.
President Bush had a horrendous thing said about it.
But he usually ignored it, not dignifying the horrible things with a reply.
And I talked to Bush the Younger about that thoroughly.
And I said, but his philosophy was not going to get involved with it.
Now you can make the decision, whether that is proper or not.
In a moment, something you might not know.
Financial stress is hitting an all-time high.
millions of Americans are stretched thin with no extra money, no room to breathe.
And this isn't just lower-income households.
Middle-class families are also running out of options.
If debt has been weighing on you, you are not alone.
And waiting usually makes things worse.
Interest grows.
Minimum payments trap you.
Nothing changes.
You don't need another loan or to consider bankruptcy.
You need a strategy.

BTS, the Korean pop group, is touring from April to December. It's the first major outing they've
had in a decade. Tickets range from $400 to $7,000. Now, what kind of a nit win?
would pay $7,000 to hear a Korean pop group come on.
And here's something else you might not know.
There are real financial reasons for the insane prices.
In 1990, successful musicians earned 85% of their entire income
from the sale of physical CDs and cassettes.
In the age of streaming, however,
that figure has fallen to just 5%.
30 years ago, an artist earned around $2 per album.
Today, a song must be streamed 1,000 times to make a single dollar.
Back after this.
