Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It's Thursday, April 2nd, 2026.
Here's this happening today in America.
We have liftoff, regime change in Iran, oral arguments over, and ice funding soon.
That's all coming up, and Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, the Artemis 2 moonshot mission has successfully launched from Florida.
Reed Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina, Christina,
Kach and Jeremy Hansen. If all goes as planned, these four will go deeper into space than any
human as ever in their slingshot around the moon. That'll be on day five. The next 25 hours,
the first 25 hours, I should say, after liftoff, is going to be spent circling the earth.
Then the main engine will hurl the crew to the moon 244,000 miles away. And then four days after that,
they will be 5,000 miles on the other side of the moon. The goal of all this, the whole Artemis
is to land on the moon by 2028. China plans to do it by 2030. Not sure how that works,
but we'd let them. And then we're going to build a base on the moon. One of these next missions
is going to bring a nuclear reactor with them. The commander-in-chief addressed the nation last
night giving updates on the war in Iran. He said we have a, quote, complete regime change now
in Iran. He's been speaking with leaders there that are, quote, more moderate and much more
reasonable. Trump has said it could be another two or three weeks that we are in Iran.
He said, we don't need a deal with Iran to stop bombing.
It's over whenever we wanted to.
He said, quote, when we feel that they are for a long period of time put into the stone ages
and they won't be able to come up with a nuclear weapon, then we'll leave.
Whether we have a deal or not, it's irrelevant.
Our secretary of state said, we can see the finish line.
It's not today.
It's not tomorrow, but it's coming.
And he said this will go down in history as one of the best run tactical military operations
in modern times.
It's impossible to tell from oral arguments how justices are feeling about an issue,
but the president was there at the Supreme Court Chambers.
First time a sitting president has ever been to the oral arguments.
He sat in the public gallery on a bench, surrounded by other private citizens.
There was no special arrival or hail to the chief.
He stayed for about an hour, and after the court adjourned, he wrote on Truth Social,
we are the only country in the world stupid enough to allow birthright citizenship.
The president called for Congress to deliver a reconciliation bill that includes funding for ICE and custom and border patrol by June 1st,
Speaker Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Thune said they will do their best.
The president said, unlike Republicans, Democrats want to defund the police, border patrol, and ICE.
They want to allow criminals, the mentally insane and lunatics from all over the world to come into our country, totally unvetted and unchecked, putting Americans in serious danger.
Funding for ICE and Border Patrol will continue through the one big beautiful bill until this reconciliation bill is passed.

Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day. Next.
Financial stress is hitting an all-time high.
Millions of Americans are stretched thin with no extra money, no room to breathe.
And this isn't just lower-income households.
Middle-class families are also running out of options.
If debt has been weighing on you, you are not alone.
And waiting usually makes things worse.
Interest grows.
Minimum payments trap you.
Nothing changed.
You don't need another loan or to consider bankruptcy.
You need a strategy.
That's why I like done with debt.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Thursday, we cannot see it.
The enriched uranium inside Iran.
Can't watch the scientists trying to make a nuclear weapon.
So we have to accept or reject the deadly premise based upon invisible evidence.
And many folks will not do that.
because they don't trust the process.
They believe what they want to believe.
They don't believe Trump or Israel.
Spain and much of Europe fall into this category.
As do millions of Americans.
The action against Iran cannot be justified.
It is Trump's war.
Now, history really doesn't matter to the dissenters.
Yes, the mullers are killers.
No question about it.
Dead bodies in the streets can be seen, but high gas prices and economic pain overrides the death of strangers thousands of miles away, right?
In the 1930s, millions of Americans did not believe Germany was genocidal, even though Hitler wrote of his own intentions in a book, Mine Kampf.
A solid minority of Americans did not want to help Great Britain.
oppose the Third Reich. Can't see the oppression. It's way over there. I know the mullahs would
slaughter Jews and Americans because they said so. I don't want to believe them, but the evidence is
there. Nukes would make the job easy. So that's where we all are. Believe it or not. I'm Bill

You can only turn any other cheek for so long.
I'm very disappointed.
Pope Leo felt the need to take sides on Iran
because obviously diplomacy is far better than war.
It's not like we haven't tried it with Iran.
Okay.
Frank Vasquez, Ammanville, Texas.
if Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz and their tankers are going through it.
If so, why?
They don't have tankers.
You have to go through the Strait of Hormuz to the oil depots in Iran to get the oil.
Iran's not sailing it out of there, and now they're blowing up ships that are not only Iran,
but Saudi Arabia, UAE, all of those oil states.
So that's that.
Tom in Colorado, Bill, I have no doubt the no king's protests are organized and funded,
but I've yet to see anyone haven't infiltrated the groups to prove people are actually getting paid.
And you won't.
They're not going to tell you the truth.
Come on.
You're going to say, yeah, I got paid?
If you see a professionally made sign, they got paid.
If you see buses coming in, that's what it's all about.
Glenda, why would you not want to bring grief to the creators of the phony video on TikTok?
They deserve grief, in my opinion.
I don't want to get these people hurt.
If I report their names and where they are, they're going to get hurt.
You would do that, Glenda?
I don't think you'd do that.
It's not worth it.
I reported the story.
You know what the story is.
We don't want to be anybody getting hurt.
