Thank you, Bill. It is Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America. Food dies gone, Pope viewing hours, JD in India, and fires in New Jersey. It's all coming up next. And Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first eight petroleum-based synthetic dyes will be phased out of of American food, according to RFK Jr., and the head of the FDA, Marty McCarrie. Over the next coming months, the FDA will revoke authorization for two synthetic food dyes, citrus red number two, and orange B. The other six dies will be phased out over time. That's green number three, red number 40, yellow number five, yellow number six, blue number one,

and blue number two. McCarrie said for the last 50 years, American children have increasingly been living in a toxic soup of synthetic chemicals. RFK Jr. said we are exploring every tool in the toolbox to make sure this gets done very quickly. The Pope's funeral is on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Square. The public viewing of Pope Francis begins today at 11 o'clock local time to midnight. Again tomorrow 7 a.m. to midnight and Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The funeral is going to be outside so mourners can fill that open space. Pope Francis is going to be the first pope in over a century to be buried outside of the Vatican. He's going to be buried at Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome. Many world leaders will attend the funeral on Saturday, including President Donald Trump. Putin will not be there because the international criminal court has an arrest warrant out for him. So when he, if he were to land in Italy, Italy would be obligated to detain him. J.D. Vance gave a big speech in India, strengthening the ties between our two nations. J.D.'s wife, her parents are from India.

He said both countries need to unlock their energy reserves. India has many rare earth metals, and both countries need to do this to grow and prosper and help each other. China was never mentioned, but of course looms in the background. J.D. Vance said critics have attacked my president, President Trump, for starting a trade war in an effort to bring back jobs in the past, but nothing could be further from the truth. He seeks to rebalance global trades so that America, with friends like India, can build a future worth having for all of our people together. The White House has received trade deal proposals from 18 nations around the world.

Evacuations in New Jersey started yesterday, as of last night, closing 17 miles of the New Jersey Parkway, threatening thousands of structures. Multiple shelters have been set up for people fleeing the fire. Tens of thousands of people without power. Nearly 80% of the Garden State is facing some level of drought. I'm Mike Slater. Hyperactivity all over the place. Let's run down some post-Easter important stuff. Stock market continues to wobble, and almost 60% of Americans now say they are delaying major purchases. That has a recession feel. So this tariff business better start getting resolved. If trade deals happen soon, the markets will rocket, and the president will have more power to force agreements in Ukraine and Iran. Also, his domestic agenda in Congress will have more clout.

But if the stock market and the economy recede, Donald Trump will lose a trade. tremendous amount of power. Now, the small ball stuff like the guy in El Salvador should stop. Bring them back. Have the Justice Department present evidence to the immigration judge who's already assigned to his case. Due process is a good thing. Embarrassing the corrupt media is also good. If this guy is MS-13, the press will take a huge hit. Finally, this week, We should all honor the humanity of Pope Francis, put migrant policies aside, and applaud his compassion. opine. Okay, to the mail. We got Ron Leoda, who's a premium member in Jacksonville, Florida. Bill, do you agree that anyone who enters the USA illegally is committing a federal crime? I hear a lot of mainstream news outlets say it's a civil crime, and they shouldn't be arrested and removed. It is a civil crime. But there are courts like traffic court, like tax court, but it is not a criminal offense to cross into this country illegally or oversee your visa. It should be. In the new immigration law, make it a criminal offense. Make everything a lot easier.

Susan Bartle of Eurobeach, Florida, would you please address why all Democrats keep saying illegal aliens of constitutional rights? Because they do. Once you set foot on our soil, even if you are a foreign national, you are under our Constitution. That is the fact. But there are different categories, of course. So, executive order, now those gang members, no constitutional rights, they're out of here.

By law, if they catch you at the border, sneaking, and it could turn you right around. By law. Jason Voss, Katori, Japan. Mr. O, could you please explain to me and the rest of your viewers why the United States should expend due process to undocumented immigrant gang members? Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. 236 years ago today, George Washington and his wife Martha moved from Virginia to New York City as George took office for the first time as United States president. Here is the story. After receiving word of his election by the Electoral College, George Washington, and Martha left their Mount Vernon Plantation on April 15th. They arrived in the Big Apple one week later, only then it wasn't called the Big Apple.

It was New York City. After the inauguration, George and Martha moved into their home on one Cherry Street. It was a modest townhouse, few bedrooms, drawing rooms, simple kitchen. They soon relocated to a more impressive mansion on Broadway. In total, the Washington spent just one year in Manhattan. 1790, the seat of the federal government was moved to Philadelphia until a permanent capital could be constructed in the District of Columbia. Though their time in New York was short, it was not very pleasant.

In the late 18th century, the city was a bustling metropolis of 50,000 people, the biggest town in the Western Hemisphere. New York was home to different religions, slaves, Dozens of languages, brothels, and taverns. Street crime was rampant. The alleys of Lower Manhattan filled with horse manure, rats, thieves, garbage. Well, the First Lady detested it all. Born into an aristocratic family in Virginia, Martha preferred an agrarian life.

She hated crowds, sense, chaotic scenes. During one exchange, Martha Washington told a friend, she felt as though she were a, quote, state prisoner to the federal government. The Washington's finished their second term in Philadelphia, then returned to Mount Vernon in 1797. George died there two years later at the age of 67. Martha passed three years hence after that.
